We inform. We connect. We create opportunities that turn into deals. Global mindset. Hyper-local execution.

Audience development is central to Bisnow's continued success. With more than 1.7 million subscribers and 400+ events annually across 47 markets, our audience is the foundation that keeps us the leading voice in commercial real estate; and a strong, well-understood audience pipeline is what keeps us there.

Internally this role is called the Manager, Audience Analytics & Engagement will be an integral part of our organization, sitting within the Marketing department and reporting to the Associate Director of Audience Development. In this role, you'll build a comprehensive view of how our audience discovers, engages with, and grows within the Bisnow ecosystem. Partnering closely with marketing, technology, and the broader audience team, you'll own the metrics that define audience health and translate them into strategies that drive retention, engagement, and growth. You’ll also help shape how we use AI and agentic tools to get this work done. Here, they are becoming core infrastructure, not just a nice to have. You should be an analytical thinker and a strong communicator who thrives moving between high-level strategy and rolling up your sleeves to solve data challenges directly.

You'll spend your time balancing data and strategy by reading the signals across our website, email, and events to figure out what's driving engagement and what isn't, then adjusting your approach based on what's actually moving the numbers. You'll need to translate complex data into clear, actionable direction for stakeholders across the organization, communicating results up, down, and across. You should be ready to bring your own ideas for how to grow and retain our audience, while staying flexible as you test, learn, and iterate on what works.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of deeper audience intelligence across our platform. Map and maintain a holistic view of audience behavior across key touchpoints — website, email, events, and other acquisition channels — using tools like Redshift, GA4, Iterable (ESP), and backend and revenue data.

    • Analyze how users discover, engage with, and purchase our products to build foundational KPIs including lifetime value, time spent and product interactions..

    • Establish clear, consistent metrics for audience engagement including repeat visitation, visitor frequency, content consumption rate, and channel-specific engagement benchmarks. Own ongoing reporting against these KPIs and communicate trends to develop strategies and product opportunities.

    • Work with a broader team to set targets for growth and develop strategies to move the audience through the funnel for better retention, improved engagement and increased purchases.

    • Triage data issues and inquiries as needed, working with audience team lead, technology and other marketing stakeholders to synthesize data sets and patterns.

    • Work to reconcile audience data across source systems and activation platforms — including our CRM, enrichment tools, and ESP — to ensure segments, targeting, and reporting reflect an accurate and current picture of the audience, triaging data issues and inquiries with the audience team lead, technology, and marketing stakeholders as needed.

    • Identify lapsed and declining user segments, develop and execute re-engagement strategies tailored to their last known behaviors, and measure lift from win-back efforts against defined reactivation benchmarks.

    • Develop and execute strategies to drive deeper engagement among existing users — increasing content consumption, return visit frequency, and overall platform time — through segmentation, personalization, behavioral triggers, and programmatic nudges.

    • Expand audience dataset using 3rd party tools, surveys, and other sources to expand knowledge and demographic tracking.

What are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years of experience in an audience analytics and data-focused role.
  • Deep understanding of audience best practices for engagement and measurement.
  • Proficient in SQL, with hands-on experience in web analytics platforms (e.g., GA4) and reporting/BI tools; familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Iterable).
  • Ability to utilize AI and agentic tools to work efficiently and effectively with large data sets.
  • Working knowledge of email sending infrastructure and deliverability fundamentals (e.g., IP warmup, domain/sender reputation, bounce and spam-complaint handling)
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally, share creative ideas, and translate goals into actionable content.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive compensation structure!
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • Short and Long Term Disability Insurance - this includes maternity and paternity leaves as well.
  • 401K
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Account
  • Health Savings Account
  • Unlimited Vacation Days
  • 7 days paid sick leave
  • 9 paid Holidays
  • Referral Bonus Program
  • You’ll get to work with incredibly smart, passionate, driven, ambitious, kind, caring and mindful people and will rarely experience an overload of policies, bureaucracy or toxicity (the latter, we do not tolerate).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
