Manager, Analytics Engineering

About Us: You will join the Experience Platform Engineering (EPE) team, which is part of the Data Strategy, Analytics, and Enablement (DSAE) organization. We are a data-driven, people-centric organization dedicated to assessing the business impact of products and services developed at PlayStation across enterprise platform tools.

EPE operates collaboratively and innovatively, focusing on end-to-end telemetry development, including data collection, specification design, and quality assurance, to enhance customer experiences. We seek an experienced Analytics Engineering Manager to lead teams, scale initiatives, manage risks on large projects, and drive solutions in a dynamic environment affecting millions of gamers worldwide.

Role Summary: As an Analysis Engineering Manager with a focus on telemetry and Adobe tooling, you will enable a team of engineers to scale and impact the customer experience through metric driven data initiatives. You will work closely with partner teams to think big picture about our business goals and how we achieve them through analysis and tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultural Lead: Inspire and grow high performing analytical engineers. Focus on people first with an inclusive, innovated, collaborative growth mindset.
  • Thought Leadership: Flex your influencer skills by developing avenues for EPE members to create end to end data collection solutions. Solution better measurement techniques to elevate our data platform utilization.
  • Setting Scope: Collaborate with EPE team members, engineers, and project management teams to comprehend Adobe user journey analytics and identify workflow difficulties. Translate these insights into actionable feature requirements and deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, design, quality assurance, project management, and data delivery teams to ensure EPE telemetry work is defined and implemented. Maintain open communication between teams to identify dependencies for capacity planning and address potential obstacles early on. Clearly and regularly communicate goals, performance and solicit feedback for future improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of analytics engineering management experience
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experienced in implementing telemetry, data, reporting solutions.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, optimally prioritize tasks, and manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively engage and interact with diverse customers, partners, and team members at diverse levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate differences, establish relationships in multi-functional and multicultural environments.
  • Initiative-taking critical thinking skills in sophisticated and ambiguous situations
  • Ability to understand and develop team skills as project requirements evolve.
  • Experience using Jira & Confluence.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of data and technologies including Adobe Experience Platform, Domo, Customer Journey Analytics, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Ab Initio, etc.
  • Understanding of AWS fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouse fundamentals.
  • Curiosity about gaming, digital entertainment, or consumer electronics is a plus.
  • Japanese language skills are not required, but it can be helpful.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$195,500$293,300 USD
