Job Description

                                         Maintenance III/Specialist

About the Role

Maintenance III/Specialist Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all types of manufacturing equipment; including but not limited to blow molding, conveyor systems, plant support equipment, case packers, box makers, stretch wrappers, and palletizers. Your knowledge and expertise will be called upon, in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic theory and procedure to trouble shoot. 

We are looking for someone who ends their shift knowing that they have made a difference. Working as team, with other maintenance technicians, operators, and members of management team.

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all types of equipment represented in the plant with a high degree of skill and competency.
  • Repair basis electric circuits with complete understanding of electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Supplies own tools to perform maintenance tasks in the disciplines of the scope needed to perform job task assigned.  This includes basic electrical test tools, industrial hand tools, some air and hand tools, plumbing tools, welding tools and a tool box adequate to secure the employee’s investment.
  • At times will be required to work independently and with other co-workers to complete the necessary repairs.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined by organization.  Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and managers/supervisors.  Properly uses all personal protective equipment.

About You

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.  Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e., Technical or Vocational education) but not required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
