Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
The MRO Shipping / Receiving Clerk at Magna Engineered Glass plays a critical role in supporting daily logistics, inventory management, and maintenance operations. This position ensures timely delivery and receipt of materials, maintains accurate inventory records, supports repair and return processes, and assists with special projects and facility needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check in all incoming materials and enter package paperwork into the system.
  • Pick up packages from the docks multiple times daily and deliver them to appropriate departments.
  • Perform routine and as-needed inventory checks, including parts, labels, and stock items.
  • Store and organize inventory properly, including labeling and tracking.
  • Maintain inventory at the north storage area and other designated locations.
  • Assist in locating materials and tools for maintenance teams and technicians.
  • Process return-to-stock items and obsolete materials.
  • Coordinate loading, transport, and sale of obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor waste oil levels and coordinate timely pickups.
  • Unload large cylinders safely using a forklift (hilo).
  • Pick up urgent ("hot") parts when necessary.
  • Support accounting by investigating and resolving bad invoice issues.
  • Communicate promptly with employees and supervisors via email or text.
  • Pick up trash, empty trash containers, and help keep workspaces organized.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in inventory, shipping/receiving, or facilities support preferred.
  • Forklift (hilo) certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory systems and email.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/industrial environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments.
  • English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office Environment: est. 30%
  • Plant Environment: est. 70%
  • The employee must be able to tolerate standing for extended periods of time.
  • It requires (Near/Far/Depth/Color) vision in order to be able to tolerate the eye strain associated with working on a computer throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to tolerate the use of a keyboard and mouse on average of 4 hours per workday.
  • While working in the Plant environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and various levels of temperature created by the manufacturing process.
  • This role operates primarily in an office and manufacturing facility.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged standing at least 8 hours, but up to 12 hours per day
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per hour.
  • Repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Repetitive use of hands, including gripping, grasping, pinching, squeezing
