About the Role

Machinists keeps our R&D shop running and turns ideas into hardware. You will own tool and machine readiness, material prep, and hands-on fabrication with machines like our HAAS VF6-SS. When the line is quiet, you’ll train on new processes—Fusion 360 CAM, Onshape, forklift/scissor-lift, etc.—so you can tackle the next challenge.

Responsibilities
  • Fabrication: Machine flight parts, jigs, and fixtures from metal, plastic, or composites per engineering drawings.

  • Shop organization: Drive 5S, label/storage systems, and consumables inventory.

  • Equipment readiness: Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on our CNC equipment.

  • Material handling: Receive, cut, kit, and stage raw stock; operate forklift & scissor-lift.

  • Continuous improvement: Build new tooling and workflows; flag design or manufacturability issues to engineers.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a machine-shop role

  • Proficiency with common hand/power tools; ability to read mechanical drawings

  • Able to lift 50 lb and work on ladders or lifts

Preferred Qualifications
  • CNC mill/router operation & CAM programming (Fusion 360 or similar)

  • MIG/TIG welding experience

  • Forklift or MEWP certification

  • Exposure to aerospace or ISO-9001 quality environments

Training & Growth

Full-time employees receive paid training on CNC operation, Fusion/Onshape CAD/CAM, forklift & scissor-lift certs, and other up-skilling courses scheduled during normal work hours.
