We are currently seeking a hardworking and dedicated full-time Machinist I to join our Machine Shop. As a Machinist I, you will be responsible for supporting our machining operations. You will work closely with experienced machinists and technicians to follow specifications set by engineers or technical drawings to produce parts that can be 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch to as large as 3 inches. The work environment will be an active machine shop, characterized by loud noises and the presence of heavy equipment. This role is ideally suited for someone who feels rewarded from what they created and how it works on a larger scale. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow within the company, gaining valuable experience and skills in the machining and manufacturing industry.

What you’ll do:?

· Assist machinists with setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual machines such as drills, lathes, grinders, microscopes and other equipment.

· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and workstations to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

· Support facilities maintenance tasks, including repairing, assembling, and maintaining equipment, fixtures, and tools.

· Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

· Work closely with team members to complete projects and meet production deadlines.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the shop.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to understand and follow machining requirements.

· Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any incidents or hazards.

Requirements

· Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. -120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee.

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Fluent in speaking and writing English

· Valid CA driver license

· 1 year machine shop setting experience

Physical Requirements:?

· Ability to stay in stationary position for extended length of time

· Ability to use/work on parts or tools for an extended period of time

· Lift up to 50 pounds

· Occasional ascending/descending of Ladders
