About Nerdio

At Nerdio, our mission is to simplify the lives of IT professionals and maximize their Microsoft cloud and end user computing investments.

We support organizations of all sizes looking to deploy, manage, and cost-optimize native Microsoft technologies. We partner with Enterprises and Managed Service Providers all over the world to add value on top of their existing native Microsoft investments like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, and Microsoft Intune.

Created in 2016, Nerdio has always taken a market-leading and collaborative approach to cloud deployment and management.  In fact, our product roadmap is greatly influenced by the regular feedback we receive from having seen companies deploy AVD into production environments several thousand times using Nerdio technology.

Today, Nerdio is used in over 50 countries by more than 5,000 organizations of every size and vertical. We’re committed to delivering exceptional service and support, which starts with identifying and supporting the best staff possible.

We are a fast-moving, nimble company looking for individuals who are collaborative, empathetic, driven and who love to move at the speed of light. If you want to be part of the AVD transformation that Microsoft and Nerdio are leading, then we want to speak with you.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented, motivated, high-performance individual to join Nerdio as an M365 Sales Engineer. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Microsoft 365 specialist with a proven track record in pre-sales, technical demonstrations, and partner-facing delivery across the M365 ecosystem. You'll be an instrumental member of our SE team, helping MSP partners realize the full value of Microsoft 365 through Nerdio's management and automation platform — spanning identity, productivity, security, and modern workplace solutions.

What you'll do

  • Identify the technical requirements within an opportunity and accelerate the sales cycle by positioning and demonstrating Nerdio's value across the M365 stack
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and demos — remotely and at field events — focused on M365 management, security, licensing optimization, and automation via Nerdio Manager
  • Partner with sales managers to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals involving M365 migration, modernization, and managed service expansion
  • Successfully match customer pain points and requirements to proposed M365-centric solutions, including Copilot readiness, Intune/endpoint management, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Support sales managers in developing the financial business case (ROI/TCO) tied to M365 licensing efficiency, automation savings, and operational overhead reduction
  • Serve as the voice of the partner back to the product and engineering teams, communicating M365-specific gaps, enhancement requests, and competitive intelligence
  • Stay current on Microsoft's evolving M365 roadmap — including Copilot, Security & Compliance, and licensing changes — and translate that into actionable partner guidance
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence across the M365 management and MSP tooling landscape

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5+ years of experience in a sales engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior MSP technical role with a focus on Microsoft 365
  • Deep technical knowledge of the M365 platform, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Entra ID (Azure AD), Defender for Business, and Purview
  • Strong understanding of M365 licensing models (Business, Enterprise, Frontline, Add-ons) and the ability to build compelling licensing optimization narratives for MSPs and their end customers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot for M365 — including readiness requirements, use case positioning, and partner go-to-market motions
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver technical demos and POV engagements to both technical administrators and business decision-makers
  • Solid understanding of MSP operational models, including PSA/RMM tooling, multi-tenant management, and managed service delivery at scale
  • Experience with Microsoft security and compliance tooling (Defender, Conditional Access, DLP, MFA/passwordless) and the ability to position these within a managed services context
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess partner and end-customer requirements and recommend appropriate M365 solutions
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with MSP partner stakeholders — from help desk technicians to C-suite decision-makers
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and sales enablement tools
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive in staying current on Microsoft product updates, licensing changes, and industry trends
  • Implementation of MEDDPICC principles to accelerate the technical validation process
  • Microsoft certifications preferred: MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), MS-500 (Security Administrator), MS-700 (Teams Administrator), or equivalent

  • Competitive Base + Incentive Plan
  • 10% Bonus on top of posted compensation range

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
