About Us:

Airrack is a tight-knit team that pulls off ambitious, innovative YouTube videos that get millions of views. We’re creative, gritty, and passionate about making content no one else dares to. If you're looking for traditional media, this isn't it. We work hard, have a great time doing it, and we're always pushing to see how far digital storytelling can go!

The Role:

We're looking for an experienced Producer who’s excited by the chaos of digital content—someone comfortable juggling multiple projects at once (from fast-turnaround videos to long-term multi-segment productions). You'll proactively anticipate what the team needs, find clever workarounds under tight timelines and budgets, and thrive on making seemingly impossible ideas happen.

Requirements

What You’ll Actually Do:

  • Lead multiple Airrack videos at once, balancing fast-paced shoots and ongoing background productions.
  • Anticipate everything—proactively solving production challenges and finding creative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with our team, pitching and refining ideas, ensuring everything aligns with Airrack’s creative style, budgets, and production timelines.
  • Take pride in figuring out ambitious ideas under tight constraints, communicating transparently, and constantly learning/improving.
  • Travel frequently, creating genuinely exciting videos millions actually watch.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in producing digital-first content at scale—YouTube experience strongly preferred. (Purely traditional media backgrounds usually aren’t a fit.)
  • A skilled multitasker with great attention to detail and a proactive attitude. You don't wait to be told what to do—you figure it out.
  • Comfortable tackling unfamiliar challenges independently. Excited (not intimidated) by ambitious, crazy projects.
  • Humble, collaborative, and genuinely great to work with.

Bonus Points:

  • Solid network of production contacts.
  • Background or skills in directing, gripping, or cinematography.

Benefits

Salary: $80-90k DOE with performance bonuses available. Full health benefits offered as well.

Why Join Us?

  • Work with an awesome group of talented, passionate people who actually enjoy what they do.
  • Constantly push the limits of digital storytelling and do things that haven’t been done before.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, plenty of travel, and tons of room to grow creatively and professionally.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
