About the Team: 

The Protective Operations team is charged with securing the company’s personnel, property, and operations. From physical site security and access control to rocket transportation and VIP meetings, the team plays a mission- critical role. You’ll engage directly with leadership, manage complex operations, and adapt to a constantly evolving landscape. The impact is company-wide, and the work is anything but routine.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about safety, organization, and customer service. As a Security Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for all visitors and staff, playing a key role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for visitors, vendors, contractors and VIP guests while working closely with teams such as Executive Administration, HR, Facilities, and EHS. As the Security Receptionist/Coordinator, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for both employees and visitors, ensuring a smooth, professional, and well-organized front-of-house experience. In your first 6 months, you can expect to:
  • Build strong relationships across multiple departments, supporting day-to-day coordination between teams and acting as a reliable resource for internal operations.
  • Take ownership of the reception area, creating a welcoming and efficient experience for all guests, contractors, and employees.
  • Support onsite logistics such as meeting room bookings, visitor scheduling, and office access in collaboration with the EA and Facilities teams.
  • Assist HR and EHS with onboarding activities, compliance signage, and coordinating basic health & safety protocols.
  • Contribute to a positive and engaged office culture by supporting internal events, communications, and special projects.
  • Assist in maintaining ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance by ensuring adherence to Relativity Space company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources department to ensure proper execution of employee offboarding and account deactivations including revoking access to company facilities and collecting company property.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being at the center of workplace activity, thrives on multitasking, and values building strong partnerships across diverse teams.

About You:

  • 2+ years of experience in a law enforcement, military, security, or customer service role.
  • Must be knowledgeable and cross-trained of all duties associated with site-specific reception/lobby
  • Maintains the appearance of the lobby assuring it is always organized and clean; summon the janitorial or maintenance staff when needed
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in managing calendar, emails, inventory, and equipment
  • Experienced in utilizing visitor management to process visitors, contractors, and employees; issue new/replacement/temporary access cards per established site procedures; issue parking permits
  • Ability to interact and verbally communicate effectively with internal and external customers and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous, and effective manner with excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and appropriate professionalism.

Nice to haves but not required:  

  •  Willingness to pursue more advanced security training and certifications that are both physical and administrative in nature.
  • Experience utilizing visitor management software to check-in visitors, contractors, and employees.
  • Ability to multi-task, change direction quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while working with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical and resourceful problem-solving skills
