Pay Range

$69,500.00 - $122,100.00

Purpose

This position will direct and coordinate logistics functions with 3rd party logistics carriers to and from the distribution center (DC) and partner with the DC Operations team, Store Support Center Logistics team, and Store Operations team for planning and support. 

major responsibilities

  • Coordinate with drayage providers to deliver daily inbound containers based on priority
  • Receive shipment tenders from store support planning team and work with warehouse operations to plan weekly shipments with carriers
  • Ship and track outbound shipments to stores and troubleshoot any delivery issues
  • Report key performance metrics of carriers to Director of NA Logistics
  • Partner with operations to develop and improve processes associated with outbound shipments from the DC’s and receiving processes
  • Develop key metrics to measure employee performance and perform annual reviews with employees
  • Participate in the enlistment of talent into the company by building partnerships with local organizations and school programs related to logistics activities 
  • Lead a team of coordinators in positions that require concise planning, tactful execution, constant direction, working relations and impeccable timing to deliver exceptional results
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for better performance of drayage providers
  • Provide weekly metrics to warehouse managers.  Evaluate outbound carriers’ performance and provide feedback to store support team
  • Provide ongoing training and learning sessions to maximize results of the team and develop team members to become leaders

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • Three to five years of relevant experience required
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with software applications and transportation systems
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers and staff at all organizational levels
  • Subject to National Security screening.

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and/or car travel

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Physical Work – Ability exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
