The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is the on-the-ground sales and marketing presence for Lodge at Marconi and Mable's. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: coordinating and detailing groups and events, running activations on property, producing local and on-site marketing for the hotel, restaurant, and activations, and building and maintaining partnerships across the local community. It is a doer's role, turning plans into action rather than setting high-level strategy, on site for events and activations and out in the field 1–2 days a week.

Qualifications
  • On-Property Activations: Plan, coordinate, and run activations at Lodge at Marconi and Mable's, on site from setup through execution.
  • Group & Event Detailing: Detail groups and events — gather and confirm requirements, timelines, and logistics, and coordinate with property and F&B teams to deliver them smoothly.
  • Group Room Blocks: Assist with entering group rooming lists into PMS system and updating reservations as needed.
  • On-Ground Marketing: Execute local, on-site marketing for the hotel, restaurant, and activations — collateral, signage, on-property promotion, local listings, and community-facing content.
  • Local Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, vendors, and organizations to drive awareness, referrals, and co-marketing.
  • Field Presence: Get into the local market 1–2 days a week for partnership visits and outreach, and be on site for events and activations.
  • Sales Support: Support group and event sales — respond to inquiries, prepare proposals and collateral, give site tours, and help convert and coordinate bookings.
  • Brand & Team Alignment: Work with the central marketing team and property leadership to keep on-property marketing on brand and aligned with broader campaigns.
  • Recaps & Reporting: Track activation, event, and partnership results and report on what's working.

Required:

  • Hands-on experience coordinating events, activations, or hospitality operations.
  • Highly organized and reliable, able to juggle multiple events and details at once.
  • Comfortable working on site and in the field, including around evening and weekend events.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills for partnerships and groups.
  • Solid writing and basic marketing and collateral skills.
  • A self-directed executor who follows through and gets things done.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field work.

Preferred:

  • Experience in hotels, restaurants, or event venues.
  • Familiarity with the local West Marin and Tomales Bay market and community.
  • Experience coordinating group bookings or F&B events.
  • Basic design, social, or content-creation skills.

Performance Expectations

  • Activations and events run smoothly, on site, and on brand.
  • Groups and events are detailed accurately, with no dropped logistics.
  • A steady and growing set of active local partnerships.
  • Consistent field presence and visible representation in the community.
  • Timely recaps and reporting on events, activations, and partnerships.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
