Alconost is on a mission to help digital products speak the language of their users. We localize software, games, apps, and websites into 120+ languages - and we're looking for a Junior Localization Manager to join our growing team.

This is a remote, full-time role for someone who wants to learn fast, grow hard, and make a global impact.

πŸ‘€ Who We're Looking For

You're probably early in your career - maybe a freelance translator or a linguist, language tutor, who's also a tech enthusiast. You love languages, but you also have a technical mind and great communication skills - someone who's good with spreadsheets, maybe familiar with Python or JavaScript, but chose not to become a full-time software developer. You're curious about AI tools, and you believe localization is more than translation - it's a bridge between cultures.

We'd love to meet you if you:

  • Have some experience in translation or game localization
  • Are fluent in English, with a second foreign language
  • Have international work/study experience
  • Are organized, responsible, and meet deadlines
  • Know how to work with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Have some technical background (basic scripting, CAT tools, TMS, etc.)
  • Use or are curious about AI tools, LLMs
  • Want to grow into a professional Localization Project Manager in 6–12 months
βš™οΈ What You'll Do
  • Manage localization projects for global clients - apps, games, websites, software
  • Work with translators and editors from all over the world
  • Communicate with clients in different time zones
  • Monitor deadlines, quality, and budgets
  • Master and implement localization tools (CAT tools, TMS, AI workflows)
  • Support continuous improvement of our AI-enhanced localization process
πŸš€ What You'll Get
  • Training & mentorship to grow from junior to pro in localization project management
  • Flexible remote work - you manage your time (as long as deadlines are met)
  • The chance to make a real impact: Your work will bring apps and games to millions worldwide
  • A supportive, smart, no-BS, inclusive team culture
  • No time tracking, no micromanagement – just ownership and results
  • A future in one of the most meaningful jobs in tech (~10,000 professionals worldwide!)
🌟 Why This Role Matters

Localization managers are the hidden heroes behind global launches. Sometimes, your mom will open an app and you'll say: "I was behind its translation." If you stay with us, you'll grow into a senior role or operations lead. If you move on - you'll be in demand at any product company with global ambitions.

Ready to grow with us? Apply now and tell us why localization is your calling. Let's build the multilingual world together.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent β€” not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
