THE JOB

We are seeking an Associate Counsel with corporate legal experience to join the Legal Department for Live Nation Entertainment’s Touring Division, a segment of the Live Nation Entertainment live music business. This role will be based in Beverly Hills, California. 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Negotiate, review and draft a wide variety of commercial agreements, including, without limitation, artist performance agreements, sponsorship agreements, promoter agreements, license agreements, independent contractor agreements, production agreements, equipment rental agreements, and nondisclosure agreements.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice on legal matters to business teams, including advising on risks and liabilities associated with potential transactions, existing contracts and policy documents.
  • Manage contract process and provide regular status reports to internal team members.
  • Communicate with third-party attorneys, the Live Nation legal team and business partners to negotiate and finalize contracts.
  • Research various legal questions and provide clear recommendations to internal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state and local laws and regulations.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • J.D. from accredited law school.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as an attorney, negotiating and drafting sophisticated legal transactions and agreements. 
  • Licensed or ability to become licensed to practice law in the State of California and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Ideal candidate has experience directly related to the concert and/or festival promotion business.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage high volume under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Desire to partner with business clients to provide practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Concise writing skills.
  • Experience in interacting and communicating with all levels of operations.
  • Proficiency in Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Salary: $150,000-$175,000

$140,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD
