The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help our clients transform complex business needs into structured, actionable requirements that engineering teams can confidently build from.

Our clients often have ambitious roadmaps spanning operations, supply chain, inventory management, automation, AI initiatives, internal tooling, and custom software development. The challenge is rarely a lack of ideas—it is creating the clarity, prioritization, and documentation required to move from concepts to execution.

In this role, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, product leaders, and engineering teams to uncover workflows, document requirements, identify opportunities for automation and AI, and create buildable specifications that accelerate delivery. You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, helping organizations move faster while reducing ambiguity and rework.

What you'll do
  • Lead requirements discovery sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  • Document current-state processes, workflows, business rules, and operational requirements.

  • Translate business objectives into clear user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.

  • Create structured documentation that engineering teams can use to estimate, scope, and build solutions.

  • Facilitate prioritization discussions and help stakeholders organize large backlogs of initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and AI-driven solutions.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams throughout the discovery and planning process.

  • Maintain requirements documentation and ensure alignment as projects evolve.

  • Support engineering teams during implementation by clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguities.

Your qualifications and experience
Must haves
  • 6+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, Product Operations, Systems Analysis, Technical Project Management, or a related field.

  • Strong requirements elicitation and stakeholder interviewing skills.

  • Experience creating user stories, functional specifications, process documentation, and acceptance criteria.

  • Ability to quickly understand new business domains and operational workflows.

  • Experience working closely with software development teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings.

  • Excellent written documentation skills.

  • Advanced English required.

  • Familiarity with AI tools.

Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with ERP, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or fulfillment operations.

  • Experience documenting requirements for custom business applications or operational systems.

  • Consulting, Business Architecture, or Solution Architecture background.

  • Experience with workflow automation initiatives.

  • Familiarity with knowledge management systems, documentation platforms, or requirements repositories.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
