Producer, Livestream Commerce - Contractor

About third

Third is a modern-commerce growth company helping brands turn new and emerging platforms into real sales channels.

Our integrated acquisition strategy connects best-in-class teams across TikTok, Whatnot, Meta, Snap, and beyond - eliminating the need to stitch together multiple partners.

Third blends deep niche expertise with modern execution to launch, operate, and scale commerce on new platforms, transforming culture, creators, and content into real product sales.

The Engagement

Third is looking for a U.S. based independent contractor to help build high-performing live shopping experiences from our Los Angeles studio. The Livestream Commerce Producer is a highly hands-on role at the intersection of talent development and show production. You’ll produce live shopping streams for client brands, and help shape the creative formats, selling strategies, and production elements that make our livestreams engaging and commercially effective.

The right person is equally comfortable coaching others behind the scenes, and jumping into the details required to bring a live commerce program to life. You’ll work closely with clients, Client Success, and our broader content teams to ensure every host and every stream represents the brand well and is built to drive results.

What You’ll Do

Drive Livestream Performance

  • Develop fresh talking points, product demonstrations, storytelling approaches, objection-handling techniques, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Brainstorm and test new livestream formats, selling techniques, interactive segments, and show flows designed to improve audience engagement and commercial performance.
  • Partner with clients and Client Success to understand brand goals, target audiences, and the qualities needed in livestream talent.
  • Coach hosts on product preparation, storytelling, value-based selling, and confidently selling products across a range of price points.
  • Provide real-time coaching and constructive feedback to improve confidence, on-camera presence, and performance.

Produce the Show & Creative Experience

  • Collaborate with the team and hosts to refine show flow, improve production quality, and keep livestream content fresh and engaging.
  • Create and coordinate livestream creative assets such as overlays, stickers, borders, promotional graphics, countdowns, and on-screen content using Canva and, when needed, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Produce promotional and preheat video content for regular streams and larger Mega Live events, partnering with the short-form video team on editing and execution.
  • Stay current on live commerce trends and translate emerging best practices into new ideas for Third’s clients and talent.

Partner With Clients & Internal Teams

  • Participate in brand immersion sessions to build a strong understanding of client products, positioning, audiences, and campaign goals.
  • Join client check-ins to discuss livestream performance, upcoming campaigns, talent needs, and priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally with Client Success and content teams to ensure talent, creative, and production are aligned before each live.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience producing on-camera content; experience in livestream commerce, social commerce, retail selling, or creator-led content required; hosting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to coach talent, give constructive feedback, and adapt your approach to different personalities and skill levels.
  • Commercial instincts and an understanding of how storytelling, product knowledge, audience engagement, and selling techniques influence conversion.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage casting pipelines, talent materials, client needs, and live deadlines simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Canva preferred; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, or livestream production tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work from our Los Angeles studio and support livestream schedules that may occasionally extend outside traditional business hours, including longer Mega Live events, is required.

Who You Are

  • You have strong creative instincts and an equally strong bias toward performance and results.
  • You can read a room, a client, a host, and a live audience—and adjust quickly when something is not working.
  • You are comfortable moving between coach, producer, and problem-solver depending on what the moment requires.
  • You are highly organized, resourceful, and calm in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • You are curious about what is next in live commerce and excited to experiment, learn, and help define best practices as the space evolves.

Why This Role Matters

Great livestream commerce depends on more than putting someone in front of a camera. The right talent has to be supported by a show that is built to sell. This role connects those pieces - helping Third build stronger hosts, stronger livestreams, and stronger results for our clients.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
