ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to own the customer journey from lead capture to retention. You’ll design and optimize data-driven programs that boost engagement, conversion, and revenue, managing SMS and email campaigns while working cross-functionally to deliver seamless, personalized experiences. This role offers the opportunity to shape lifecycle strategy, drive measurable impact, and grow your career in a fast-growing, high-energy company.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Creative, Performance, and Data teams to ensure journeys are cohesive, optimized, and performance-driven. This role is 100% on-site in Irvine, CA. If you enjoy building systems from scratch while executing campaigns, you’ll be a perfect fit.

HOW YOU’LL BE REWARDED
At TaxRise, we value strategy, innovation, and results! We offer a competitive salary, career growth opportunities, and the chance to directly impact customer experience and revenue.

  • Base salary: $85,000 – $100,000 annually

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, implement, and optimize lifecycle programs guiding prospects and clients from lead capture through closed sales and beyond.
  • Build and refine client journeys, identifying drop-off points and opportunities to increase conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Leverage CRM data, behavioral signals, and automation tools to create precise, actionable lifecycle segments.
  • Manage SMS and email campaigns across the full customer lifecycle, ensuring messaging is timely, personalized, and performance-driven.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to deliver content, tools, and automated workflows that increase rep effectiveness and shorten sales cycles.
  • Analyze campaign performance, report on KPIs, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Develop processes, workflows, and frameworks that structure lifecycle marketing operations.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure messaging and campaigns are aligned and measurable.

WHY YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

  • 4–7 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, marketing automation, or retention-focused roles.
  • Proven experience building journeys from scratch, not just managing existing programs.
  • Hands-on expertise with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Iterable, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of CRM architecture, data flows, and integrations to support lifecycle campaigns.
  • Advanced knowledge of SMS and email marketing, including deliverability, segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and compliance.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams to design nurture sequences, create enablement content, and optimize hand-offs.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to interpret data, uncover insights, and recommend strategies to improve performance.
  • Builder mentality; thrives in environments where processes are not fully defined.
  • Strategic yet hands-on mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in high-growth or performance-driven marketing environments.
  • Familiarity with journey mapping, lifecycle reporting, and marketing analytics platforms.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
