Job Summary:
The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will play a key role in executing, optimizing, and expanding our customer retention and engagement programs. This individual contributor role will focus on operational excellence across Email, SMS, Direct Mail, and Paid Media retargeting channels—driving measurable impact on channel-level performance, list growth, repeat customer rate, and LTR.
You will own the day-to-day management of flow/automated lifecycle programs, including optimization and maintenance, audience segmentation and targeting, and personalization initiatives across both email and SMS. You’ll partner closely with the Senior Director of Lifecycle Marketing to execute the lifecycle roadmap, scale segmentation strategy, and reduce reliance on external agencies. Lastly, you will be our go-to source for Klaviyo expertise.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role perfect for someone who loves building, optimizing, and analyzing lifecycle programs—and is ready to take ownership of high-impact initiatives that directly drive revenue.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage, optimize, and maintain automated Email and SMS flows in Klaviyo and Postscript, using advanced branching and conditional logic, global segmentation with nuanced suppression rules, and dynamic customization through Klaviyo Liquid.
- Own the strategy, segmentation, and execution of Direct Mail and Paid Media retargeting programs to support lifecycle goals.
- Build and refine segmentation strategies to deliver highly personalized, relevant messaging and content across all lifecycle channels.
- Partner with Brand, Creative, and Paid Media teams to align content, timing, and messaging across the customer journey. Support rebuilding automations that better tell our brand story, reinforce trust, and showcase our value props.
- Regularly analyze and report on performance metrics—using insights to drive optimization, inform strategic decisions, and identify new lifecycle opportunities.
- Plan and execute A/B tests and experiments to increase conversion, engagement, channel-level revenue, repeat orders, and LTR.
- Act as the internal Klaviyo subject matter expert, bringing more execution in-house and reducing reliance on external agencies.
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 4–6 years in Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, Email/SMS Marketing, or related roles—preferably for a DTC or eCommerce brand.
- Proven track record of owning channel strategy and execution, including Direct Mail and/or Paid Media retargeting.
- Advanced Klaviyo experience: building complex flows with nuanced rules and exclusions, advanced segmentation, suppression logic, conditional splits, and Klaviyo Liquid scripting.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, personalization tactics, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret results, identify trends, and make optimization recommendations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/flows/campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred:
- A creative and storytelling mindset to plan an engaging email & SMS calendar in partnership with the Creative team
- Experience with a global brand on Shopify
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with marketing technologies like Chord (CDP) and Postscript (SMS) is a plus
Compensation:
- $115,000-125,000 per year base salary, based on experienced
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role and business performance
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
