Clearwater Analytics is looking for a senior marketing leader to help shape how we tell our story — to the market, to prospects, and to the industry at large. In this role, you'll lead a talented team driving thought leadership, multi-channel campaigns, and website strategy that directly fuels our sales pipeline and growth. You'll report to the Director of Marketing and have real ownership over how Clearwater shows up in a competitive fintech landscape.

This is a great fit for a senior marketing professional from a technology or financial services background who thrives on variety — strategy one day, hands-on execution the next — and who knows how to bring a team along with them.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that grow brand awareness, establish Clearwater as a thought leader, and support pipeline and bookings goals
  • Get up to speed quickly on Clearwater's value proposition, key messaging, and target markets
  • Shape thought leadership themes and oversee content creation and distribution to key audiences
  • Own the strategy for Clearwater's public website and our digital publication, Clear Insights
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to prioritize the team's roadmap
  • Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing marketing team
  • Manage day-to-day team operations and project prioritization
  • Spot new opportunities, plan and schedule initiatives, and keep projects on track — with regular reporting to leadership
  • Own campaign budgets: estimate costs, track spend, and adjust as needed
  • Track performance against KPIs and use data to sharpen strategy over time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, ideally within financial services or fintech
  • A track record of successfully leading and developing a team
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, CRMs, and reporting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A highly organized, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities at once
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing roles in either financial services or financial technology

  • History of successfully leading a team

  • Experience with marketing automation software, CRMs, and reporting tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
