About the Role

Wand is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to build and scale the systems that deepen player engagement across email, in app notifications, push, and on site experiences. You will own the lifecycle strategy that guides players from onboarding to long term retention, using segmentation, experimentation, and personalized messaging to deliver the right experience at the right moment.

This role is perfect for someone who is data driven, experiment oriented, and experienced in managing multi channel lifecycle programs. You will work closely with product, data, creative, and growth to build a cohesive communication engine that supports millions of players.

What You’ll Do
  • Own Wand’s lifecycle marketing strategy across email, in app notifications, push notifications, and onsite conversion experiences

  • Develop segmentation frameworks that tailor messaging to player behavior, intent, and game context

  • Design and run experiments across messaging, timing, sequencing, and channel mix to improve activation, conversion, and retention

  • Build onboarding, education, and re engagement flows that help users understand and get value from Wand

  • Partner with product and data to identify friction points in the user journey and craft messaging that removes obstacles or improves clarity

  • Collaborate with creative operations to produce assets and templates that support rapid testing

  • Manage CRO for wand.com, improving conversion on key pages and touchpoints

  • Define success metrics, build dashboards, and track performance across all lifecycle programs

  • Maintain a rigorous testing roadmap and communicate insights and results to cross functional partners

  • Help shape the long term lifecycle strategy and build the foundations of a scalable CRM function

What You Need
  • 4–7 years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, retention, or related roles in a fast paced consumer or gaming environment

  • Deep experience with segmentation, user cohorts, and behavioral triggers

  • Strong experimentation mindset with a track record of running structured A/B and multivariate tests

  • Proficiency with lifecycle tools such as Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or similar

  • Solid understanding of email best practices, deliverability, and messaging frameworks

  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort interpreting data, even if you are not a technical analyst

  • Experience with onsite CRO, including landing page optimization and simple funnel analysis

  • Ability to operate autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and drive measurable impact

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to turn insights into actionable strategy

Nice To Haves
  • Passion for gaming, internet culture, and digital communities

  • Experience with subscription or freemium lifecycle funnels

  • Familiarity with experiment frameworks used in product led growth environments

  • Experience working closely with creative teams on messaging and content

  • Background in user onboarding, education, or UX writing

  • Experience building CRM systems from early stage foundations

Benefits
  • Competitive salary

  • Remote work environment with flexible hours

  • Opportunity to shape lifecycle strategy at a high impact stage

  • Access to advanced tools and analytics

  • Clear career progression as the team scales

  • Work on a product used by millions of gamers

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
