About Spearbit & Cantina:

Founded in 2021 by former Ethereum Foundation Solidity engineers, Spearbit tackles Web3 security challenges. Our founding team built the leading blockchain language and secured the largest smart contract, protecting over $160B in value.

We're building Cantina —the "GitHub for Security"—connecting security researchers with projects needing expertise. Our Cantina security platform has powered major competitions and serves the leading projects in Web 3. It currently supports collaborative security reviews, public and private security competitions, bug bounty programs, incident response, and AI code analyzer.

Similar to how cloud-security startups emerged previously, Cantina aims to be the definitive code-security platform for the future.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to design and manage customer journeys that nurture leads from awareness through conversion. This role is central to aligning marketing and sales by creating thoughtful, data-driven experiences that turn MQLs and SQLs into clients. The ideal candidate has deep experience in CRM automation, marketing operations, and building measurable lifecycle programs, ideally with exposure to B2B SaaS or web3/crypto industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Journey Design & Execution: Develop and deploy automated nurture streams across email, CRM, retargeting, and experimental channels to guide prospects from initial awareness to SQL.

  • Campaign Optimization: Create trigger-based and drip campaigns, refine segmentation, and lead scoring to maximize pipeline velocity.

  • Alignment with Sales: Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth MQL → SQL handoff, and build reporting to demonstrate marketing’s impact on pipeline.

  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, track conversion metrics, and generate insights to continuously improve engagement and ROI.

  • Tool & CRM Management: Maintain and optimize marketing automation systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalents), ensuring clean data and effective workflows.

  • Lifecycle Experimentation: Test and iterate not only on automated sequences, but also on messaging frameworks, campaign formats (e.g., webinars, guides, retargeting ads), timing, and channel mix to identify what drives the highest engagement and conversion.

  • Market Awareness: Stay up to date on best practices in lifecycle marketing, including trends in B2B SaaS and web3 industries.

Core Skills:

  • Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms

  • Data-driven mindset with proven ability to analyze funnel performance and optimize for conversion

  • Excellent project management skills to run multiple campaigns simultaneously

  • Ability to craft compelling messaging tailored to different lifecycle stages

  • Strong collaboration skills with sales and marketing stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing

  • Proven track record designing and executing automated nurture campaigns

  • Experience working with B2B SaaS, fintech, or web3 is strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM platforms

  • Comfort with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, GA4, HubSpot dashboards)

  • Exceptional written communication and attention to detail

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based compensation opportunities

  • Opportunity to work in an early-stage startup with a talented and passionate team.

  • Exposure to high-profile clients in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry

  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits (for U.S. employees)

  • 401k plan with company match (for U.S. employees)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
