About the role

As the Lifecycle (or Customer) Marketing Manager, you will own the strategy and execution of our customer marketing initiatives, focusing on optimizing the customer journey from acquisition through retention. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing new customer conversion, driving customer adoption, reducing churn, and increasing customer lifetime value within our customer funnel. You’ll report into our Head of Product Marketing and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Data Analytics. You’ll deliver personalized and impactful experiences that drive business growth.  

What you’ll be doing:
  • Customer lifecycle marketing strategy:
    • Review, audit, and optimize the current customer/user journey and touchpoints, email sequences, etc. 
    • Help define customer segmentation and personalization strategies to deliver relevant messaging and content.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategy, addressing each stage of the customer journey.
    • Set clear objectives and KPIs aligned with business goals, regularly reporting on progress and insights.
  • Campaign Planning and Execution:
    • Help develop multi-channel onboarding programs that effectively introduce new users to key product features and benefits, accelerating time-to-value and adoption.
    • Implement automated workflows and trigger-based communications to scale personalized outreach.
    • Design, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Data Analysis and Optimization:
    • Understand the current customer/user data available, and how to best utilize this for segmentation and triggers.
    • Utilize analytics tools to monitor campaign performance, user behavior, and funnel conversion rates.
    • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to continually improve messaging, design, and delivery.
    • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the customer journey.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with Product Marketing to align lifecycle initiatives with product updates, feature launches, etc.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs, pain points, and success stories.
  • Customer Advocacy and Retention:
    • Develop programs to increase customer loyalty and advocacy, utilize our customer stories and case studies.
    • Define ways to proactively identify at-risk customers and implement strategies to mitigate churn.
What we expect from you:
  • 4-5+ years of experience in lifecycle, customer, retention, or CRM marketing within a SaaS subscription company.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful lifecycle marketing programs in a PLG funnel.
  • Understanding of SaaS metrics, user/customer lifecycle stages, and subscription business models.
  • Technical proficiency with email marketing systems, marketing operations, CRMs,, and data analysis tools. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We are happy to share the set target salary range for the seniority level outlined in all of our job descriptions. Candidates should keep in mind that the final offer will depend on multiple factors such as: your valuable experience and expertise, geographic location, overall compensation, and prevailing market rates.

$115,000$135,000 USD
