About Posh

We are all social creatures, but the dominant “social” companies today have evolved into digital loneliness machines, driving isolation, anxiety, and mental health challenges across our lives.

Human connection is lost. Posh is a beacon guiding us back.

Posh enables anyone to become an event organizer, build a community around their followers, and bring people together in person to cultivate real-world human connections. Founded by event enthusiasts and college dropouts, we’ve built the ultimate tools for creating, marketing, and monetizing in-person communities globally. In just three years, Posh has grown to a team of 60, expanded to 5M+ users, secured $40m in venture funding, and facilitated over $220M in transactions. We've achieved more than teams ten times our size in a tenth of the time—and there's so much more to come.

We are hiring a Lifecycle CRM Lead to architect, own, and scale our entire lifecycle ecosystem across push, email, SMS, and in-app messaging. You will be the primary owner of our user lifecycle system and strategy, partnering closely with Marketing and Growth to drive retention and growth for the 7 million+ users that derive value from our platform.

  • Define and execute on our full user lifecycle across onboarding, activation, retention, and resurrection on both sides of the Posh marketplace

  • Manage and develop a Growth Marketer, providing strategic direction, feedback, and coaching while aligning execution to lifecycle priorities and company OKRs.

  • Build the lifecycle strategy roadmap aligned with company OKRs

  • Establish the lifecycle architecture, data models, segments, triggers and personalization systems

  • Serve as the primary owner of Iterable workflows, integrations, data governance and QA

  • Partner with Growth on experimentation and with the Product/ Engineering on lifecycle- triggering events

  • Drive a structured testing program across channels, message types, and different lifecycle stages

  • Conduct experiments for cohort funnel and behavioral analyses to uncover friction and opportunities

  • Work cross functionally with Growth on segmentation, attribution and experimentation strategy

  • Own lifecycle KPI’s and translate insights into strategy for leadership

  • Define and own our message strategy for all lifecycle communications

You Bring to the Table
  • 5–7+ years in CRM, lifecycle marketing, growth, retention, and/or marketing automation at a consumer or marketplace company.

  • Expert-level experience with Customer Engagement Platforms (ideally Iterable) - capable of designing advanced automation, workflow logic, and data-driven personalization.

  • Proven people leader with experience managing multiple direct reports, coaching performance, and guiding career development and progression.

  • Strong analytical abilities, including familiarity with SQL or similar tools.

  • Deep understanding of retention mechanics, activation funnels, behavioral triggers, and messaging strategy.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional partners and influence strategy

  • Exceptional communication, organization, and strategic clarity

  • Passion for culture, live experiences, and building products that bring people together.

Bonus Points

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
