About This Role

We are seeking a Corporate Counsel who will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining relationships with our customers and business partners.  You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and supervising the execution of a high volume of complex contracts, addressing various contract-related issues, and assisting with the development and implementation of new contract processes.  Initially, you will report directly to the company’s Deputy General Counsel.

What You’ll Do

• Cross-functional role supporting our Sales and Operations teams and other company departments by drafting contracts that will be presented to customers and business partners.  Contract types include, without limitation, non-disclosure agreements, professional service agreements, and equipment installation agreements.
• Assist with other projects within the Legal Department such as compliance and human resources issues.
• Serve as a lead contracts negotiator. 
• Supervise the execution of contracts through DocuSign.
• Prepare summaries and reports for stakeholders regarding outstanding contracts and contract negotiations.
• Help to improve the contracts workflow process, including by assisting with the implementation of new contracts management solutions.
• Counsel and educate other company employees on contract-related matters.
• Address contract-related issues that arise. 

What You Bring

• At least 5 years’ experience as a commercial contracts attorney, including at least three years’ experience drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements. 
• Preferably at least three years of experience within a major law firm, followed by at least two years of experience in a technology company.
• Experience working at a technology company and addressing a broad range of technology-related contracts (including but not limited to sales-related contracts). 
• Superior problem solving, decision-making, customer service and negotiating skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with formal presentations.
• Excellent computer skills (Mac environment).
• Fluency in English required, fluency in Spanish desired (but not required).
• Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor.
• Bachelors and Jd Degrees.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
