Job objective: The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has a strong background in contract analysis, negotiation, and execution. This position will be responsible for leading a team of contract administrators; preparing and negotiating bids; reports; advising management of contractual rights and obligations; compiling and analyzing data; and maintaining historical information.
Duties
- Provide supervision and oversight of staff
- Participate in strategic development and planning for new business acquisition to include risk assessment and mitigation
- Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer engagement to acquire new business and fulfill contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
- Review estimates of material, engineering services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company practices and procedures
- Establish & negotiate collaborative agreements
- Assist supply chain in drafting and negotiating long term supplier agreements as well as terms and conditions
- Able to communicate clearly and be proactive in a very fast paced environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university
- 8+ years of combined experience in the following: Proposal Development, Financial Accounting, Pricing, Contracts, and Business Management
- Ability to effectively coordinate with other organizations (program management, subcontracts, pricing, business management, and supply chain management) as well as representatives of Government agencies
- Excellence in negotiation of price and terms and conditions
- Prior experience with various Government contract types such as Time & Material, Cost types, and Fixed Price types as well as commercial contracts
- Experience managing a program and working with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated understanding (interpretation and compliance at a senior level) of and experience with FAR and DFARS, especially with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15
- US Citizen (future security clearance may be required)

- Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
- Experience working with FAR/DFAR
- Component electronics manufacturing experience
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
