Ring is looking for a Legal Assistant or Contracts Manager (depending on experience) to join the our legal team. This position is based in Santa Monica, CA and will support the Ring legal team.
This person will have a strong desire and ability to develop and implement tools and automation in contracting operations in order to increase efficiency and generally drive process improvements. Must have excellent communication skills as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners, will serve as a liaison to the business teams and will coordinate between sales, operations and legal teams. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about Ring, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Candidates must possess the ability to work efficiently and independently; manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, filing, and managing a variety of contracts
- Assisting in the formulation of contract policies, procedures, methods, and operating practices for a variety of engagements
- Administrative support
- Other tasks and responsibilities as determined by the team

Basic Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a legal professional within a law firm or legal department
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Requirements
- Experience coordinating and drafting contracts or subcontracts
- Prior experience in a corporate legal department
