Overview

Suzy, Inc. is an AI-first SaaS company looking for a Legal Operations & Technology Manager who can help us supercharge how the legal, compliance, and security teams operate. This role is not about paper-pushing or waiting for instructions — it’s about building, streamlining, and automating the way these functions deliver value across the company.

You’ll report directly to the General Counsel, driving projects forward with a get-it-done, tech-forward mindset. If you thrive on learning new tools, building workflows from scratch, and collaborating cross-functionally, this is the role for you.

We’re open to candidates from diverse backgrounds — legal ops, customer success, project management, RevOps, compliance, etc. What matters most is your ability to:

  • Learn and leverage new tech quickly (especially AI and automation tools).

  • Bring a self-starter, can-do, collaborative attitude.

  • Translate complex problems into simple, scalable processes.

Responsibilities
  • Tech & Automation Focus

    • Research, test, and deploy AI and legal tech tools to automate contract reviews, reporting, and workflows.

    • Build scalable processes (playbooks, trackers, dashboards) to reduce manual work.

    • Integrate Salesforce, shared drives, and other systems for contracts hygiene and metadata tracking.

    Core Ops Execution

    • Maintain contracts archive (MSAs, addenda, amendments, termination notices).

    • Log and track contract metadata (term, renewal, governing law, AI permissions).

    • Support order form workflows and contract lifecycle processes.

    • Centralize NDAs and build a searchable tracker for key terms.

    Cross-Functional Partnering

    • Document workflows and playbooks

    • Partner with Enablement, Sales, Tech, and Finance to streamline handoffs and processes.

    • Support compliance projects, IP portfolio tracking, and policy creation.

Qualifications

We care less about where you’ve been and more about what you can do. That said, success in this role likely requires:

  • Demonstrated ability to adopt and master new technology (bonus if you’ve used AI tools, Salesforce, or contract management systems).

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; people enjoy working with you.

  • A bias toward action: you can take an ambiguous problem, figure it out, and deliver a solution.

  • High attention to detail paired with a builder’s mindset.

  • Experience in legal ops, RevOps, customer success, or similar process/ops-heavy functions is a plus — but not required.

Compensation & Logistics
  • Type: Contractor - Must have your own legal entity

  • Compensation: $45-55/hr.

  • Location: Remote (U.S.-based).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
