Your Role

The Legal Studio is looking for an experienced Legal Operations and Technology professional to lead and support the evolution of our legal operations and technology strategy. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying, implementing, and managing tools and processes to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of our legal team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, streamlining workflows, and partnering across teams to drive meaningful change. This highly collaborative position will work closely with stakeholders across Legal, Information Services, the Data Platform team, IT, and our Regional Leaders to ensure successful implementations and product releases. As a key member of the Legal Studio, you’ll help shape how we deliver legal services by leading strategic initiatives, optimizing our use of technology, and promoting a culture of innovation.

­­­What You Will Do

Legal Technology Strategy and Management

  • Oversee the management, enhancement, and scaling of Ironclad, Gensler’s Contract Management solution

  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to develop a product road map for Ironclad by collaborating with leadership and other stakeholders to establish long-range strategic plans

  • Research, evaluate, and implement legal technology solutions to streamline workflows and improve productivity

  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, ensuring solutions are user-focused and scalable

  • Support budget planning for legal operations and technology initiatives, including forecasting costs, evaluating ROI, and identifying areas for efficiency

  • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to integrate legal technology solutions with existing systems and platforms

  • Provide training and support to Legal Studio team members and relevant internal stakeholders on the effective use of technology tools and platforms

  • Monitor emerging technologies, regulations, and industry trends on the Legal Studio, and recommend strategic responses or adjustments as needed

  • Serve as a subject matter specialist on legal technology trends and solutions, providing insights and guidance to the Legal Studio team and key stakeholders

Legal Operations

  • Implement best practices to optimize workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance collaboration across the Legal Studio

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains, and lead initiatives to implement changes

  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the Legal Studio, encouraging team members to explore and leverage new technologies and tools to enhance performance and efficiency

  • Collaborate with external partners, such as legal tech vendors, consultants, and industry organizations, to stay informed about emerging technologies and opportunities for collaboration or partnership

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, developments, and best practices in legal operations and technology through continuous learning, participation in industry events, and engagement with professional networks

Data Management and Analytics

  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation

  • Support compliance efforts by helping ensure legal data is managed in line with privacy, security, and retention standards

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including legal technology vendors and consultants

Change Management and Adoption

  • Lead change management initiatives to foster adoption of new processes, tools, and technologies within the Legal Studio

  • Provide guidance and support to Legal Studio team members during periods of organization change or technology implementation

  • Establish structured feedback loops with Legal Studio users to evaluate tool effectiveness and continuously refine processes

 Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in Legal Technology and Operations in a legal department or Product Manager for a Contract Management System

  • Experience implementing a Contract Management System

  • 1+ years’ experience with Ironclad a plus

  • Strong track record of owning end to end initiatives

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using analytics tools and platforms.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

**If the position is filled in Los Angeles, the base salary is estimated to be between $100k-$110k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience **

**If the position is filled in Chicago, the base salary is estimated to be between $95k-$105k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience **
