The Legal Counsel will provide legal advice, negotiate and draft contracts, and support the EMEA Sales team while managing regional legal issues.

What you will do
- We are looking for a mid to senior level Legal Counsel to join the Sysdig Legal team, reporting to the VP of Legal. You will be the lead resource and individual contributor for regional legal issues and contracts of all kinds, supporting our EMEA-based Sales team and negotiating regional commercial deals.
- Provide legal advice, interpretation and guidance to the Sysdlg leadership team regarding contracts and other business matters
- Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions and prepare and advise on aspects of laws to functional departments
What you will bring with you
- Legal education from a US university
- 8+ years of experience as a qualified attorney practicing law in the US, with part of it as in-house counsel in high growth (cybersecurity or AI space, a bonus)
- Excellent commercial agreement drafting, efficient deal closure skills, with experience supporting SaaS deals with customers in Europe and the Middle East
- Experience with privacy matters, including negotiating Data Processing Agreements, DORA Agreements, and conducting privacy impact assessments
- Experience with data security matters, including evaluating customer and vendor security requirements in a SaaS environment
- Experience supporting channel business, including alliances and partner program development
- Experience in EMEA employment matters is a bonus
- Experience in IP, M&A, and working with open source software is a bonus
- Experience drafting and negotiating agreements for AI services is a bonus
- Experience working with and managing outside counsel

The U.S. annual range for this full-time position is between $160,000 and $200,000 USD/year. This range represents a combination of annual base pay and targeted commission. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on a variety of factors, including your work location, job-related experience and education.
