What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced, pragmatic, and collaborative Legal Counsel to join our growing team. You will be instrumental in the contract lifecycle from intake through negotiation to execution. This role is ideal for a legal professional who is energized by complex dealmaking, passionate about improving processes, and eager to work directly with Sales, Finance, Product, and Customer Success stakeholders to enable scalable, repeatable success.
You’ll work closely with a veteran legal advisor to complete and close enterprise deals effectively and quickly. This is a strategic hire intended to handle high-volume legal work while maintaining rigorous standards of legal and business excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as lead counsel for commercial transactions, managing contracts from intake to -close
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts including:
-SaaS subscription agreements
-Master services agreements
- Developer, reseller, and partner agreements
- Strategic partnership agreements
- Represent SwiftConnect in direct negotiations with client legal, procurement, and security teams
- Translate legal positions into practical guidance that balances business goals with risk mitigation
- Support Sales, Finance, CX, Product teams by advising on deal structures, customer obligations, and compliance considerationsBuild and maintain scalable legal tools and infrastructure:
- Contract templates and clause libraries
- Negotiation playbooks and fallback positions
- Self-service materials and internal workflowsImprove internal legal workflows, including intake, approvals, document management, and contract lifecycle management
- Assist with legal aspects of strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, investor due diligence, and corporate governance
What You’ll Need
- Juris Doctor (law degree) from an accredited U.S. law school and active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Must have legal experience, with a preference for in-house legal counsel at a SaaS or tech company
- Expertise in negotiating complex B2B commercial agreements, including IP matters
- Familiarity with intellectual property and open source licensing frameworks
- Strong communication and influencing skills — you can confidently defend positions and drive alignment
- A pragmatic, collaborative approach — you're a problem-solver, not just an issue-spotter
- Comfort working independently and remotely in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
