Job Type: 36 hours per week (0.9 FTE), Fixed Term until 31 May 2028

Location: The Hague or Washington DC Global Centre, hybrid with 1 day per week in the office

About the Job

Professional learning plays a key role in the organisation’s mission and overall More IB Strategy. The Learning Architect supports the design and development of professional learning experiences within a defined market portfolio or product area. Working with Senior Learning Architects, Learning Designers, subject matter experts and operations teams, you will develop coherent learning journeys, micro-credential aligned experiences and scalable professional learning products that deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design of learning experiences aligned to IB adult learning principles and design standards
  • Design coherent learning journeys and modules aligned to learning outcomes and capability development
  • Translate learning outcomes into structured learning experiences, activities and assessments
  • Apply learning architecture frameworks, templates and standards to ensure product consistency and quality
  • Support alignment of content to product specifications, learning objectives and user needs
  • Contribute to micro‑credential aligned learning experiences and evidence collection approaches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including learning design, multimedia and operations
  • Support rapid prototyping and iterative design of new professional learning products 
Qualifications
  • Experience in instructional design, learning architecture or professional learning design
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application in professional learning environments
  • Experience designing learning experiences across online, blended and in-person modalities
  • Ability to translate learning outcomes into engaging learning experiences and assessments
  • Experience working with LMS/LXP platforms and digital learning tools
  • Familiarity with competency-based learning, micro-credentials or certification systems is desirable
  • Collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use feedback and data to improve learning designs
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Experience within an educational environment is desirable

  • Annual salary in the region of  EUR €67,895.10 - €84,869, Pro Rata based on 36 hours per week (0.9 FTE), negotiable depending on experience
  • Flexible benefits allowance equivalent to 1.5% of Annual Salary to spend on benefits or as addition to salary
  • Flexible working (core hours are 10am-3.30pm),
