Job Description SummaryThe GE Vernova Lean Operating System Leader will play a critical role across all GEV businesses, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. The role involves leading strategic change initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement in operational and business processes. This person will work closely with leadership teams to influence and guide the organization toward sustained success.

The GE Vernova Lean Operating System Leader will play a critical role across all GEV businesses, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. This person will lead the development and deployment of the GE Vernova Business System, our management system based on lean principles, designed to enhance safety, quality, delivery and cost improvement across all areas of the enterprise.

This role will be responsible for developing, promoting, implementing, and training tools and processes in support of the Operating System. The role involves leading strategic change initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement in operational and business processes. This person will work closely with leadership teams to influence and guide the organization toward sustained success.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, deploy, and maintain the GE Vernova Operating System across the enterprise:

Collaborate with executive leadership and functional heads to ensure alignment with business objectives and Operating System.

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and integration of the operating system into everyday operations.

Develop tools and support documentation for deploying GE Vernova Operating System including training pack, playbook, template, lesson learned, etc for each of the key lean tools

Support leaders in identifying key business priorities and implementing Operating System tools to drive measurable results aligned with SQDC

Use data and metrics to assess current business performance, identify gaps, and track the success of Operating System initiatives.

Develop and facilitate training in support of the Operating System:

Build internal capability by developing training programs and conducting workshops on Operating System tools and processes.

Grow future GE Vernova business and lean leaders through lean capability building, connectivity, development, and recruiting. Work at all levels of the organization to identify, coach, and sustain kaizen facilitation and problem-solving competencies.

Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to teams at all levels throughout the value stream on Operating System methodologies.

Drive continuous improvement and support business initiatives using lean through the Operating System as needed:

Collaborate with lean leaders across segments, sites, and functions to ensure the effective deployment of tools at the points of impact. Provide guidance to the organization on leveraging the Operating System to optimize business results (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Lean practitioner with proven experience leading Lean transformation initiatives in complex industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate kaizen events and deploy multiple Operating system tools to create successful sustainable changes.
  • Demonstrated understand of Operating/Business System architecture and how to develop and create an ecosystem of tools that solve different problems with significant business outcome.
  • Strong problem-solving skills (in a formal structure) with the ability to analyze complex data and drive decision-making.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional projects, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives.
  • Impactful communicator with experience working and leading cross-culturally in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Highly collaborate person, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others and to lead with humility, transparency, and focus.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills; ability to conceptualize, structure, and present compelling stories to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong alignment with GE Vernova Way, including being a strong advocate for creating diverse and inclusive environments.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the starting base pay range for this position is  $157,000 to $210,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This posting is expected to remain open until at least September 12th, 2025.
