Role OverviewGreen Dot Corporation is seeking a Lead Web Engineer to join the Consumer Engineering Team, focusing on building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications that support our financial technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and develop enterprise-grade web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
- Lead the design and implementation of modular, white-labeled, and localized web solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Mobile, and Backend Engineering to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Drive technical initiatives to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability of web platforms.
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the web domain.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with compliance, security, and accessibility standards.
- Operate in an AI-driven SDLC environment, leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot and Azure DevOps.
- 8+ years of web development experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Expert-level proficiency in React, Angular framework.
- Experience with Azure Cloud, including Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and Service Bus.
- Experience with Azure/AWS Cloud services
- Experience in containerizing web applications using technologies like Docker and AKS to ensure scalable, portable, and efficient deployment across environments.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and ARIA and be able to implement inclusive design practices to ensure web applications are usable by people of all abilities.
- Experience in implementing and managing Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts for web applications.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with automated testing, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Development Tools: VS Code, Postman, Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, Figma.
- Strong grasp of web security, encryption standards, and privacy compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with AI-enhanced workflows.
- Strong Communication Skill
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech or consumer-facing web platforms.
- Familiarity with operational domains such as payments, identity verification, and customer onboarding.
- Contributions to open-source web libraries or technical publications.
POSITION TYPE
RegularPAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $97,100 to $145,500 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
