Position Purpose:

Lead Technology Enterprise Architect at Centene proactively and holistically guides enterprise leaders, product managers, product owners, and distributed product delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives. This role supports the formulation of technology strategy, outcomes, and capabilities, focusing on achieving targeted business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and improving sustainability. They will develop the technology strategy and enterprise architecture for the organization as a whole. They will proactively and holistically guides enterprise leaders, product managers, product owners, and distributed product delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives. This role supports the formulation of technology strategy, outcomes, and capabilities, focusing on achieving targeted business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and improving sustainability.

  • Develop the technology strategy and enterprise architecture for the organization as a whole.

  • Collaborates with business users and IT teams to drive the architecture to maximize business value

  • Establishes the architectural principles and vision for Centene and ensures the integrity of the enterprise architecture

  • Constructs, refines and maintains enterprise architecture models to meet business requirements

  • Continually evaluates if systems and/or operational architecture meet business needs

  • Reviews project architectures to ensure compliance with architectural standards

  • Develops and maintains a technology architecture plan that supports the IT strategy

  • Develops a repository to manage all enterprise information architecture artifacts

  • Provides the overall vision and oversight of the development of standards, tools and governance in the enterprise architecture domain

  • Defines and maintains enterprise architecture key performance indicators (KPI) metrics

  • Identifies, analyzes, and tests emerging technologies, technological developments, and market trends to understand if they can contribute incremental value to the global IT and business strategy

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired.

  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including cloud architecture, deployment, and management.

  • Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Insight into information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.

  • Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven analytics.

License/Certification:

  • AWS Certified Solution Architect preferred

  • Azure Certified Solution Architect preferred

  • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect preferred

  • (TOGAF) The Open Group Architecture Framework preferred

Pay Range: $119,100.00 - $220,500.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
