The Lead Technical Program Manager (TPM) will report through the Tech PMO in support of the Information Security organization, serving as a trusted partner to the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and leadership team. This role drives execution across the security portfolio by providing structure, visibility, and alignment of initiatives to enterprise risk management objectives. Acting as a force multiplier for the CISO, the TPM will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, mature operational processes, and ensure strategic goals are met. The ideal candidate has deep program management expertise in technical and security contexts, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. While primarily focused on InfoSec, the role may also flex into broader technology or product initiatives as capacity allows.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and mature operational processes: Continuously improve and refine operational procedures within the InfoSec organization while also integrating with the wider technology framework

  • Drive execution: Ensure effective execution across the security portfolio of projects

  • Provide structure, visibility, and alignment: Ensure security initiatives are appropriately and consistently scoped, prioritized, and resourced to support InfoSec objectives

  • Building Relationships: Network with stakeholders to build cross-functional relationships that help shape, define, and execute our strategies and initiatives

  • Track progress against strategic goals: Monitor and report on the advancement of security initiatives towards achieving strategic objectives

  • Executive Communication and Presence: Conduct regular reviews with leadership, including the CISO, SVP of Technology, and CTO, to communicate status, risks, and required actions

  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve conflicts within the program, ensuring smooth collaboration

  • Cross-functional Change leadership: Partner closely with colleagues and stakeholders to lead or assist with changes that have the potential for broad-scale impact

  • Metrics and Feedback: Regularly gather and report on project/program metrics, seeking feedback to improve our progress updates

  • Serve as a trusted partner: Act as a key liaison to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the InfoSec leadership team

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
