The Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow reports directly to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow, you would be responsible for leading the design, development, and evolution of enterprise‑grade ServiceNow solutions with a strong focus on Customer Service Management (CSM),Enterprise Service Workflows—specifically Finance Workflows including custom applications.

This role requires a hands‑on who combines deep platform expertise, modern UX development and integration architecture to deliver scalable, secure, and business‑aligned ServiceNow solutions.

Responsibilities include working closely with the product management team to ensure we deliver the best user experiences.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Own the end‑to‑end ServiceNow implementation across CSM and Finance Enterprise Service Workflows.

  • Design scalable, upgrade‑safe solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices and enterprise standards.

  • Lead technical design reviews and architecture governance

  • Optimize customer experience using modern UI and AI‑assisted workflows

  • Design seamless employee experiences using UI Builder and reusable components

  • Ensure data security, role‑based access, and compliance

  • Architect Finance‑specific workflows and integrate with ERP and financial systems

  • Lead development using UI Builder and Next Experience

  • Service portal custom development to support existing apps

  • Lead integration strategy with CRM, ERP, HRIS, Finance, and third‑party systems

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Business leaders, product owners & enterprise architect

  • Influence roadmap planning, platform strategy, and prioritization decisions

  • Promotes a supportive and collaborative teamwork environment across diverse groups

  • Evaluates interdependencies; thinks critically / systemically when solving problems

Requirements

Core Platform Skills

  • Advanced ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Service Portal custom widgets)

  • Flow Designer and advanced workflow orchestration

  • Performance tuning, upgrade planning, and technical debt management

Specialized Expertise

  • Enterprise Service Workflows (Finance focus)

  • Customer Service Management (CSM)

  • UI Builder and Next Experience

  • Playbook experience

  • Custom App development using ServiceNow App Studio

  • Integration Hub and enterprise integrations

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience

  • 6+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development and architecture experience

  • Proven experience leading complex, enterprise‑scale ServiceNow implementations

  • Strong understanding of service management, business workflows, and enterprise systems

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
