We are looking for a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Solutions unit, where you’ll lead initiatives across complex projects, support multiple development streams, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong technical foundation and a leadership mindset.
Role Summary:
You will discover, prioritise, and deliver GenAI use‑cases for N‑iX’s internal functions. From contract‑review assistants for Legal to policy‑drafting helpers for HR, you’ll work with stakeholders to clarify pain points, scan the market for off‑the‑shelf tools, assess build‑vs‑buy with engineering teams, and secure executive approval for the best option. Your success is measured in hours saved, risk reduced, and teams satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure services
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using modern tools and best practices
- Establish and manage observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, ELK or similar)
- Administer and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalable, secure applications
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure seamless operations
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across environments
- Implement and enforce DevOps best practices around security, performance, and resilience
- Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs and deliver high-impact solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)
- Proven experience with at least one Infrastructure as Code tool (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and best practices
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Desire and aptitude to grow into a technical leadership role
- English level - Upper-Intermediate or higher.
Nice to Have:
- Preferably, experience with data projects (Snowflake, Kafka, DBT)
Experience designing secure cloud environments and implementing cloud security best practices
Deep expertise in observability and monitoring platforms: Datadog, Prometheus, Elastic APM, InfluxDB, Grafana or similar
