About the Team:
The Protective Operations team is charged with securing the company’s personnel, property, and operations. From physical site security and access control to rocket transportation and VIP meetings, the team plays a mission-critical role. You’ll engage directly with leadership, manage complex operations, and adapt to a constantly evolving landscape. The impact is company-wide, and the work is anything but routine.
About the Role:
- Lead and manage a team of security receptionist providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective security operations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets, facilities, and personnel.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the day-to-day operations
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of security measures with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, IT, executive team and Legal, to ensure alignment and integration of security protocols across the organization.
- Oversee the administration, planning, and communication of all events, VIP visits, and programs taking place on-site. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to establish requirements for VIP visits and serve as a liaison to executives and executive assistants throughout the planning process.
- Manage security budgets, including procurement of necessary equipment and services, while optimizing cost-efficiency while collaborating with our accounting and supply chain team.
- Own and manage new hire onboarding process including initiating onboarding, sending onboarding communications, conducting orientation, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all new hires.
- Collaborate with the People Team to ensure proper execution of employee offboarding, including account deactivations, revoking access to company facilities, and collecting company property.
About You:
- 7+ years of experience in a law enforcement, military, security, or customer service role.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Proven experience in security operations, preferably in a leadership or managerial role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in utilizing visitor management software and experience with access control systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with ITAR compliance and working knowledge of related policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and document incidents according to established protocols.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to remain calm in critical situations.
- Experience conducting internal and external investigations to mitigate risks.
- Familiarity with new hire orientation processes and training facilitation.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice to haves but not required:
- Willingness to pursue more advanced security training and certifications that are both physical and administrative in nature.
- Ability to multi-task, change direction quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while working with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience coordinating with executive assistant personnel to manage VIP visits for executive level staff occasionally with minimal notice.
- Strong Analytical and resourceful problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Relativity Space corporate operations, goals, and culture.
