At Commerce, our mission is to empower businesses to innovate, grow, and thrive with our open, AI-driven commerce ecosystem. As the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift, we connect the tools and systems that power growth, enabling businesses to unlock the full potential of their data, deliver seamless and personalized experiences across every channel, and adapt swiftly to an ever-changing market. Simply said, we help businesses confidently solve complex commerce challenges so they can build smarter, adapt faster, and grow on their own terms. If you want to be part of a team of bold builders, sharp thinkers, and technical trailblazers, working together to shape the future of commerce, this is the place for you.

Reporting directly to the Director of Product Management and Business Architect GTM, you will ensure our Salesforce ecosystem is optimized to support scalable, efficient, and well-governed SaaS processes. You will act as the crucial bridge between our business leaders and our technical execution teams. By translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable solutions, you will partner closely with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous platform improvement.

What You’ll Do
  • Consult with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, confirm, and prioritize business requirements, negotiating competing requests to manage capacity.

  • Map current and future-state business processes, documenting them into clear functional requirements, user stories, and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

  • Partner with the Business Architect GTM to bring the product/feature vision to reality, contributing directly to the long-term Salesforce roadmap.

  • Facilitate discovery workshops, lead sprint planning discussions, and translate business needs for the development team.

  • Develop and coordinate UAT test plans, define success criteria, and facilitate stakeholder validation for all new system enhancements.

  • Evaluate new Salesforce releases, recommend relevant enhancements, and support third-party system integrations and vendor coordination.

  • Develop cost-benefit analyses, design considerations, and level of effort (LOE) assessments to establish realistic implementation timelines.

Who You Are:
  • 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience, with a strong preference for candidates who also have a background as a Salesforce Administrator. (Note: Solution Architecture knowledge is a massive plus, but hands-on coding is not required).

  • 2-3 years of project management experience with a deep understanding of the full SDLC within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

  • Extensive experience in data modeling, process mapping, and translating complex business rules into technical specification documentation.

  • Solid grasp of best-practice SaaS sales, marketing, and revenue operations processes.

  • Expert at leading workshops, eliciting requirements, and building consensus among diverse business units.

  • An active listener and diplomatic problem-solver who can engage, influence, and push back on stakeholders at all levels when necessary.

This description is intended to serve as a summary of key duties and responsibilities and may not contain a comprehensive list of activities.
(Pay Transparency Range - $113,457.00 - $170,185.00)

The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
