About the role
We are seeking an exceptional QA Engineering Lead to join our team and rapidly build out the future of our Automated QA Environment. As a robotics and video platform we have many exciting challenges.
You'll have the chance to work on a revolutionary platform that's transforming the way people interact with cameras, and we believe, all devices. You will make a significant impact on our product and work on a wide range of projects and technologies, expanding your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Design, devlop, and maintain software, that verifies the reliability of the platform on all surfaces the platform runs on Browser+Electron (TS+React); Desktop (Go+Rust); Embedded (Go+Rust).
- Set the ground work for all aspects of Automated QA testing, including writing initial integration tests and mentoring other engineers who are writing tests.
- Develop processes that facilitate and ideally automate all aspects of the QA process, including (someday) writing tests...
- Ensure every customer's Iris experience is reliable and dependable in any setting, and for any production budget.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field, including having an opinion on the place of LLMs and AI agents in the QA testing process and continuously updating this opinion as the area evolves
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a seasoned Software Engineer
- Experience with Automated QA in both Web Browsers and Robotics
- Strong proficiency in JS/TS; Go; and Rust (or a willingness to learn Rust)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in a remote team
- Passion for innovation and the ability to take ownership of complex projects
