Who we are
At Fortis Games we aspire to make great games that bring people together while redefining how game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.
We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the role

Fortis is on a mission to create games where players truly belong and our newest title, Twilight Towers, is now in soft launch. As Lead Product Manager, you’ll partner closely with Design, Analytics, and Production to shape the next evolution of the game as it moves toward global release. Sitting at the intersection of product strategy and game design, you’ll drive how Twilight Towers grows: refining its core systems, optimizing live operations, and designing meaningful player experiences that connect fun and performance. You’ll turn insights into action — balancing creativity, data, and business goals to make every player session more rewarding.

What you’ll achieve

  • Contribute the soft launch roadmap and own key hypotheses, define KPIs, and run experiments that inform global launch strategy.
  • Partner with Design and Engineering to evolve core systems, monetization loops, and player progression to shape features that matter
  • Level up engagement and retention: Build and iterate live-ops strategies from events to offers using segmentation, A/B testing, and real-time analytics.
  • Translate player behavior data into insights that inform content cadence, pricing, and economy balance to drive commercial success
  • Champion player-first design: Ensure monetization enhances, not interrupts, player experience.
  • Align cross-functional teams around clear product specs, measurable goals, and an inspiring creative vision.
  • Track competitive titles and market trends to inform future updates and roadmap direction.

What you’ll bring

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in mobile F2P product management, with at least one title managed through soft launch to global release.
  • Proven success driving engagement and revenue in top-grossing or fast-scaling live games.
  • Expertise in monetization design, economy systems, and live-ops management.
  • Strong analytical foundation — fluent in Excel, Looker, or SQL — and a passion for data-driven iteration.
  • Systems thinker who understands how game design, economy balance, and player motivation interconnect.
  • Collaborative communicator able to influence partners across creative, technical, and business domains.
  • A player-centric mindset that values creativity, curiosity, and measurable impact.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
