Lead the growth strategy for consumer payment experiences, focusing on A/B testing, funnel optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance user engagement and conversion.
WHO WE ARE
At Trustly, we're building a smarter, faster, and more secure financial future by revolutionizing the world of payments. As a global leader in Open Banking Payments, we are establishing Pay by Bank as the new standard at checkout, providing unparalleled freedom, speed, and ease to millions of consumers and merchants worldwide.
Our Ambition: To build the world’s most disruptive payment network and redefine what the payment experience should feel like.
Trustly is a global team of innovators, collaborators, and doers. If you are driven by a strong sense of purpose and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment, join us and be part of a team that’s transforming the way the world pays.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Product Manager – Growth at Trustly, you will drive user adoption, engagement, and conversion across our consumer-facing payment experiences. You will focus on experimentation, funnel optimization, and data-driven insights to reduce friction in the checkout experience and improve key consumer metrics.
This role is highly cross-functional, with a mix of strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with Engineering, UX, Data, Marketing, and other partners to design, run, and scale experiments that meaningfully improve the end-to-end payment journey. You’ll also help shape how Trustly approaches experimentation and growth product practices more broadly.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is deeply curious about consumer behavior, and is motivated by measurable impact.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of the Product organization and work day-to-day with a cross-functional Growth pod spanning Engineering, UX, Data Analytics, and Marketing. You’ll also partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Sales, and Merchant Success to ensure growth initiatives are scalable, secure, and compliant.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and execute a growth roadmap focused on activation, conversion, retention, and revenue impact.
- Design, launch, and iterate on A/B tests and experiments across the consumer payment funnel.
- Identify friction points across key consumer flows and propose data-backed improvements.
- Partner closely with UX to refine product experiences that increase conversion and reduce checkout drop-off.
- Translate insights into scalable product improvements across merchants and use cases.
- Define and track core growth metrics (e.g., activation, conversion, retention).
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to inform prioritization and product decisions.
- Clearly communicate experiment results, learnings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with Engineering to scope, prioritize, and deliver growth initiatives efficiently.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Data, and UX to ensure experiments are well-designed and actionable.
- Partner closely with Risk to balance customer lifetime value (CLV) against key risk decisions, including approval rates.
- Contribute to improving Trustly’s experimentation frameworks, metrics, and best practices.
WHO YOU ARE
- 6+ years of Product Management experience in growth or consumer tech, with a proven track record in A/B testing and funnel optimization.
- Deep analytical and technical fluency, with the ability to turn complex data and payment ecosystem logic into actionable product strategies.
- Strategic focus on Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), balancing aggressive conversion gains against fraud, risk, and long-term profitability.
- Consumer-first mindset with a strong intuition for UX and the ability to drive measurable business impact in fintech or payments.
- Exceptional collaborator and communicator, skilled at aligning Engineering, Data, and senior stakeholders on complex trade-offs.
Applications for this role are accepted on an ongoing basis.
