About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager to support the Market Connectivity team, driving strategic execution and product enablement across the Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL), Product & Platform organization. This team is focused on expanding core payments products, enhancing pricing discipline for deposits and fees, and modernizing payments platforms and architecture to build robust payment ecosystems.
The GPL Market Connectivity Lead Product Manager is expected to have knowledge of the entire payment processing lifecycle, modern design methodologies, and client use cases in order to lead development teams on a multi-year journey encompassing engagements with technology engineering, product, operations, and controls. The final product will build upon the existing transformation work and provide a roadmap to integration with core systems that facilitate efficient processing and reduce costs. This role collaborates with managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to resolve issues, navigate complex execution challenges, and achieve strategic project goals.
The core responsibilities of this role are to provide connectivity with money movement market infrastructures (e.g., FedWire, CHIPS, and SWIFT) including routing, acks/nacks, for all inbound and outbound transactions. It also includes reconciliation with the market infrastructures (e.g., FedLine settlement file) as well as real-time liquidity, eligibility service updates, replay services, duplicate checks, heartbeat connectivity/transaction monitoring. Paramount to this market connectivity/gateway infrastructure is the real-time connectivity with the bank Command Center and related UX providing traffic light monitoring with related alerts and API messaging.

In this role, you will:
- Lead complex development initiatives managing all activities in a project life cycle such as initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing that are long-term and cross functional with broad scope, and complexity.
- Expand an ecosystem of market connectivity/gateway services requiring the ability to think strategically and work tactically with technology engineering teams in the development of requirements, epics and user stories
- Demonstrate understanding of Agile principles and practices to support iterative development and delivery outcomes through scrum methodology
- Collaborate closely with product managers, managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, risk and control, technology, and architecture teams to bring capabilities to market and commercialize
- Identify and recommend opportunities for product enhancements and business requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- ISO 20022 Transformation and Global Payments Innovation
- SWIFT Wires product management within banking or financial services
- Payment transformation & ISO messaging experience (FedWire, MT-to-MX, SWIFT, CHIPS)
- Experience with payments infrastructure, including FedWire, CHIPS, SWIFT, ACH, Instant Payments, and cross-border cross-currency payments.
- Strong understanding of API and webhook solutions, digital banking, and real-time payments ecosystems.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including writing user stories and requirements for technical teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and deliver products to market.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives and technical teams.
- Customer-centric mindset, with the ability to think end-to-end, take initiative, and independently track and meet deadlines.
- Highly motivated with an organized work style and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Experience with cloud-based payments infrastructure and modern software development practices.
- Ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and develop product roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment across business, technology, and external partners.

- This position is a hybrid work model and will not be a telecommute position, must be willing to work out of Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Minneapolis, MN, or San Francisco, CA approximately 3 days a week
