Findigs is on a mission to make renting work for all of us. Renting is one of life’s most critical experiences, yet the process is often slow, opaque, and unfair. We’re changing that by building the first end-to-end platform that turns complex screening into a seamless, high-trust experience for both property managers and renters.
We’re growing fast – fueled by $78M in funding from the investors behind companies like Affirm, Gusto, and Uber. With a data-backed product that allows our customers to make smarter, more predictable decisions, and a team dedicated to transparency and precision, we’re not just improving the rental process; we’re setting the new standard for the entire industry.
We’re aiming to double our impact this year, and we need builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers to help us scale. If you’re ready to modernize one of the most essential industries, we’d love for you to be a part of it.
We're looking for a strong Product Designer to join our small, high-ownership design team. You'll report to the VP, Product, and partner closely with our Engineering and customer-facing teams to design and ship products that make renting and screening meaningfully better for everyone in the process.
This is a hands-on IC role with real surface ownership where you'll take features from brief to shipped, including research, prototyping, iteration, and handoff. You'll contribute to and co-own our Figma design system alongside Engineering and you'll bring AI-assisted design into how you work, not as an experiment but as a normal part of the workflow. Our team is small by design so you'll have direct access to decisions, fast feedback loops, and genuine ownership over how things look and function for our users.
Please note, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Where you will make an impact:
- Own the design of product features and surfaces from discovery and research through shipped product, including renter-facing application flows, property manager UI, and internal tools
- Partner directly with product managers and engineers in sprint planning, grooming, and design reviews
- Contribute to the Findigs design system (components, tokens, documentation) and keep it current and usable by both designers and engineers as the product evolves
- Run and support user research: moderated testing, usability sessions, survey design, and synthesis
- Use AI-assisted design tools (Figma AI, AI-assisted prototyping, research synthesis tools) as part of your standard workflow
- Communicate design work clearly in async formats (written rationale, Loom walkthroughs, Figma annotations, and sprint update posts) so the broader team stays informed without needing a meeting
- Contribute your perspective as the design voice in cross-functional settings
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years of progressive product design experience; experience designing for complex, data-heavy, or multi-stakeholder products (fintech, proptech, B2B SaaS, or similar) strongly preferred
- A portfolio showing end-to-end product work: discovery, structure, visual design, and shipped outcomes, not just static screen
- The ability to own a design surface with light direction; you ask the right questions and move, you don't wait for a fully-formed brief
- Experience contributing to or co-owning a design system in Figma: tokens, component variants, documentation, and versioning
- Genuine engagement with AI in your design workflow; you've used it, you've pushed it, and you want to push it further
- Strong async communication skills; you can explain a design decision or push back on a brief in a Notion comment or Slack thread without needing a meeting
- The ability to navigate fast-moving environments where scope changes and priorities shift
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in housing, fintech, identity, or screening products
- Experience as the primary or only product designer on a product, where you've held broad scope with limited design coverage around you
- Figma power user: variables, advanced prototyping, plugins, component architecture
- Experience working with frontend engineers on design-to-code token/component implementation (Storybook, design tokens, or similar)
- Experience in a high-growth startup where the design function is still maturing
