About You: An experienced Lead Product Designer who is passionate about solving complex problems and owning the end-to-end design process. You love innovation and making a fast impact and are always driving toward launch and delivery thanks to your high degree of ownership and leadership. You bring clarity to ambiguous, high-stakes problem spaces — framing the right questions, aligning partners, and driving decisions that move the product and business forward. You will design for key product surfaces, setting direction, raising the quality bar, and influencing how we build AI-powered experiences. You’re supercharged by having interesting, unsolved problems continually present themselves.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Design new 0-1 products and expand on existing products, from discovery through launch, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to shape strategy and drive execution
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders to translate customer and business needs and domain constraints into clear, usable product experiences
  • Navigate tradeoffs between user needs, data, AI/ML capabilities, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Present and articulate design decisions using product thinking, design frameworks, research insights, and data to influence direction and decision-making at multiple levels
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system and shared patterns to support consistency, quality, and scale
  • Raise the bar for design quality through strong craft, clear feedback, and thoughtful collaboration

What You Will Need:

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products, with deep experience in B2B enterprise software and highly regulated or complex problem spaces
  • Strong systems thinking —  sees patterns, anticipate edge cases, and design for scale
  • Deep expertise in UX research, interaction design, and visual design, with a consistently high bar for quality
  • Proven ability to lead design initiatives in ambiguous, business-critical environments and bring structure to complexity
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly explain ideas, influence decisions, and align cross-functional partners and clients
  • Experience designing data-driven and/or machine learning products, paired with ongoing curiosity and fluency in AI systems to help shape product direction
  • Comfort giving and receiving feedback and collaborating closely across disciplines
  • A collaborative, empathetic, and ambitious mindset, grounded in ownership and accountability

Work-life, Culture & Perks:

  • Compensation: The base salary range is $180-210K, with flexibility depending on a candidate’s background and experience. An annual bonus plan and company equity plan (RSUs) are also included in our compensation package.
  • Well-Being: Medical, dental, vision, short & long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D, and 401k matching. Additional family, wellness, and pet benefits.
  • Home & Family: Paid time off and sick leave, 100% paid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers). We offer a flexible schedule for new parents returning to work.
  • Office Life: Catered lunches, happy hours, pet-friendly spaces, and monthly technology stipend.
  • Growth & Training: $1,000/year for each employee for professional development, as well opportunities for tuition reimbursement.
  • Sponsorship: We are open to sponsoring candidates currently in the U.S. who need to transfer their active visa. Please check with our Recruiting team if your visa is applicable for transfer.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
