Who We Are
SUBSCRIBE is an enterprise software solution providing electronic subscription document technology and an order management system for alternative product transactions.
Our technology allows allocators, sponsors, and service providers to digitize the entire onboarding, investment, and reporting process for alternative investments. Through our open-architecture platform, all stakeholders are easily connected to a central venue allowing for collaboration that reduces errors, saving time and money.
Our mission is to give our clients control and reduce friction for a very painful investment process through the use of our platform.
The Role
SUBSCRIBE is a small but growing team - as a new member you will have the opportunity to have direct influence on the decision making and design of the product.
Requirements
- Set the design vision and standards across products; ensure a consistent, high-quality end-to-end experience.
- Lead discovery and definition for complex problems: drive research plans, synthesize insights, and shape requirements with PM/Eng leaders.
- Own and evolve the design system at scale (components, guidelines); establish governance and contribution workflows.
- Roll up your sleeves and design: personally own critical flows end-to-end—produce wireframes and high-fidelity screens in Figma, build interactive prototypes, write component specs, pair with frontend on implementation, and run design QA to ensure what ships matches the intent.
- Raise the bar on craft through your own work, give actionable feedback, and guide teams through concept to launch.
- Partner with leadership (PM, Eng, GTM, CS) to prioritize bets, sequence work, and balance user value, technical constraints, and business goals.
- Build and mentor a small design team: coach designers, plan capacity, and support career growth; assist with hiring and onboarding.
- Tell compelling stories: articulate strategy, present to executives/customers, and align stakeholders on decisions and trade-offs.
- Measure impact: define design quality metrics, review usage/UX health, and drive continuous improvement across the product.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years in product/UI/UX design with 2–3+ years leading designers or major workstreams for complex SaaS products.
- Portfolio that demonstrates system thinking, elegant interaction design, and measurable outcomes at scale.
- Deep experience with design systems, component architectures, and comfort partnering with frontend on implementation.
- Strong research chops—able to design studies, synthesize insights, and connect findings to strategy and roadmap.
- Excellent stakeholder management and storytelling; confident presenting to executives and customers.
- Proven track record mentoring designers and improving team process, velocity, and quality.
- Solid understanding of accessibility, responsive design, performance considerations, and experimentation.
- Familiarity with analytics for UX measurement; fintech/alternative investments experience is a plus, not required.
