The Role
We're seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Product Designer to drive the end-to-end design vision and execution for the Loom Meeting Recordings Core Experience work stream. In this role, you'll partner closely with Product, Design, User Research, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and the wider Loom team to deliver delightful, reliable, and cohesive meeting experiences. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the future strategy of Loom and Atlassian's Teamwork Collection.
As Lead Product Designer, you'll operate as a high-impact individual contributor. You'll design intuitive user flows and help set a high quality bar for visual and interaction design. This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, cares deeply about user experience, and is comfortable driving strategic design direction.
You'll report into the Head of Design, Loom Workflows. This is a remote role. To help our teams work better together, you must be located between PST and EST.
  • Own the end-to-end core meeting recording experience: Drive design work from low to high fidelity with a close attention to detail and an open, iterative approach.
  • Elevate design craft: Set a high bar for interaction, visual, and motion design. Champion design principles and ensure consistency across product surfaces.
  • Prototype and ship innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams to rapidly explore, validate, and deliver breakthrough ideas, while staying closely connected to industry trends.
  • Lead with user and business impact: Use research and data to identify friction points, reduce barriers to recording meetings with Loom, and increase engagement .
  • Mentor and inspire: Grow the design team's skills, foster a culture of experimentation, and scale learnings across teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with PM, Eng, UXR to deliver delightful, high-impact features.

  • You believe deeply in the power of video and its ability to transform communication at work.
  • You have a minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in Product Design.
  • You have led product design for complex, user-facing products ideally in video, AI, productivity, and other Enterprise tools. You know how to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to teams.
  • You set and uphold a high bar for craft in interaction and visual design. You care deeply about the details and inspire others to do the same.
  • You have a track record of shipping innovative, user-centered solutions in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. You thrive on collaboration and know how to turn big ideas into real impact.
  • You prototype and validate new concepts, especially with emerging technologies. You're comfortable experimenting, learning quickly, and iterating based on feedback.
  • You're a strong communicator and collaborator, able to inspire teams and influence at all levels. You know how to bring people along on the journey and advocate for what's best for users.
  • You're passionate about experimentation and helping teams learn and scale new approaches. You stay curious, keep up with industry trends, and love sharing what you learn.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $189,000 - $246,750
Zone B: $170,100 - $222,075
Zone C: $157,500 - $205,625
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
