  THE HIGH LEVEL

The Lead Network  Engineer will provide subject matter expertise (SME) level guidance and insight on diverse technologies and solutions supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency Hybrid Cloud team, with an emphasis on deploying and sustaining advanced networking and network security solutions leveraging Iron Bow partner technologies and service deliveries. This role emphasizes installing and managing advanced large-scale DoD solutions involving the latest developments in these technologies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Serve as a Lead Network Engineer on a program for private cloud networking and security solutions
  • Be responsible for the deployment and sustainment of advanced networking and network security solutions
  • Deploy and manage large-scale routing across global geographic footprint, dealing with BGP, SRv6, VRFs, Cloud-Scale NAT, Load Balancing, Service-Chaining, Data Center Networking, and Firewall Technology
  • Develop and adhere to processes and best-practices for efficient Day-2 operations
  • Leverage and contribute to automation and orchestration of the environment
  • Lead multiple project initiatives from small to large complex within the private cloud networking solution set
  • Tackle critical customer escalations as the technical point of contact
  • Assist with both high-level and low-level design documentations
  • Effectively work independently and within a team environment
  • Perform sustainment activities such as code upgrades, STIG compliance, cybersecurity incident response, outage troubleshooting, customer onboarding, and configuration optimization

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • This position has a strong preference for 15+ years of Network/Security/Cloud related experience
  • 10+ years’ hands on experience with Juniper Networks network design and implementation
  • Expert hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting WAN and Data Center environments
  • Proven ability to deploy and maintain advanced networking solutions at multiple levels of the enterprise (WAN, Data Center, Boundary)
  • Expertise in designing and deploying solutions integrating multiple vendors / stakeholders requiring advanced integration efforts
  • Excellent oral communication skills with ability to present in front of small/large audiences
  • Experience with diagraming tools such as Visio for demonstrating engineering designs
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects and meet target deadlines 
  • Advanced networking certifications from multiple vendors (JNCIE, JNCIP, CCIE/CCNP)
  • Minimum Secret security clearance

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 10% travel required     
  • This position requires candidates to be based in the Ogden, UT; Mechanicsburg, PA; Oklahoma City, OK; Fort Meade, MD; and Montgomery, AL
