About Velixus Labs

Velixus Labs is building the next generation of AI, blockchain, and Web3 infrastructure. We partner with startups, enterprises, and emerging technology companies to create products that leverage decentralized technologies to solve real-world problems.

We're a remote-first team of engineers, designers, and product builders who care deeply about craftsmanship, ownership, and delivering products that people genuinely use.

The Role

We're looking for a Lead Mobile Developer to own the architecture and development of mobile applications across our blockchain and Web3 product portfolio.

You'll be responsible for shaping the mobile experience for products that interact with digital assets, wallets, smart contracts, and decentralized networks. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with product, design, blockchain, and backend teams while helping establish engineering standards across our mobile stack.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building products from the ground up, making thoughtful technical decisions, and leading by example.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of mobile applications from concept to production.
  • Define mobile architecture, engineering standards, and development practices.
  • Work closely with blockchain, backend, and product teams to build seamless Web3 experiences.
  • Design and implement secure integrations with wallets, digital assets, and blockchain networks.
  • Drive performance, reliability, and usability improvements across mobile products.
  • Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
  • Help identify technical risks and make pragmatic decisions that balance speed and quality.
  • Take ownership of mobile releases, monitoring, and long-term product stability.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience building and shipping production mobile applications.
  • Strong experience with Flutter, React Native, iOS, Android, or a combination of modern mobile technologies.
  • Experience leading technical projects and making architectural decisions.
  • Experience working on blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital asset, or Web3 products.
  • Understanding of wallet integrations, transaction flows, or blockchain-based user experiences.
  • Strong product mindset and attention to user experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
  • A track record of taking ownership and delivering high-quality products.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building mobile wallets, DeFi applications, NFT platforms, or other blockchain-native products.
  • Familiarity with Ethereum, EVM-compatible networks, or other blockchain ecosystems.
  • Experience working in startup environments or distributed teams.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or the broader developer community.

Why Join Velixus Labs

  • Build products at the intersection of blockchain, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers and entrepreneurs.
  • Remote-first culture with flexible working arrangements.
  • Meaningful ownership and influence over technical direction.
  • Professional development support and learning budget.
  • Opportunity to work on products used by global customers and partners.

Compensation

Annual base salary (excluding bonus and equity):

$180,000 - $240,000 USD

Compensation is based on experience, location, and demonstrated impact. Additional performance-based incentives and equity opportunities may be available for exceptional candidates.

How to Apply

Send your resume, GitHub profile, portfolio, and a brief summary of blockchain-related mobile products you've worked on to:

[email protected]

We're most interested in the products you've built, the decisions you've made, and the impact you've had.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
