Unlock Health breaks down the walls that healthcare providers have lived with for decades. We connect the dots across managed care and marketing so that providers can realize their missions and patients can get the right care. We've brought together the top healthcare marketing organizations to make this vision a reality, with a team of experts in managed care, technology, and ROI design.

Title: Lead Marketing Analyst
Direct Manager Title: Group Lead and SVP, Analytics

The Role

We’re looking for a Lead Marketing Analyst to join our growing Analytics team and help drive the next generation of data-powered decision-making at Unlock. This role is a good fit for someone who is both an analytical thinker and a hands-on developer. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys turning complex problems into clear, actionable insights through elegant data solutions and who communicates them to clients successfully.

As a Lead Marketing Analyst, you’ll be a key contributor on a multi-faceted team that delivers analytics and reporting solutions across our healthcare clients’ business. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand performance questions, structure and query data from various sources, and build impactful dashboards and visualizations that support strategic decision-making. You’ll also help ensure the integrity of our data pipelines and contribute to tool development that scales insights across teams and clients.

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between client business objectives and Unlock’s data and technology offerings, supporting both existing products and new analytic solutions. You’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to develop tools, guide analytics practices, and drive business outcomes in a healthcare-focused environment. Responsibilities also include contributing to attribution modeling efforts across marketing channels, providing visibility into channel effectiveness, patient acquisition, and return on investment. You’ll apply methods such as predictive modeling, segmentation, and experimental design to support marketing strategy and performance optimization.

What You’ll Do

  • Solution Development
    • Translate business problems into technical requirements and use those requirements to build scalable BI solutions
    • Clean, model, and prepare data from various sources to power analytics and reporting solutions
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reports that support strategy and decision-making across internal teams and clients
    • Design and refine attribution models to evaluate cross-channel marketing performance and calculate client ROI.
    • Align with other team members to translate complex problems into technical solutions
  • Team Collaboration
    • Interact with and support needs in internal agency departments (Strategy, MarTech & MarOps, and Media)
    • Educate internal stakeholders and clients on how to identify insights and efficiently use Unlock’s analytics tools
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Evaluate and recommend process and tool improvements to enhance the overall value of our services
    • Craft and document methods and practices to teach analysts to leverage developed solutions
    • Work across departments to identify new opportunities to leverage analytics for client value

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data science
  • 5+ years professional experience with SQL
  • 3+ years professional experience developing in Tableau
  • Unlock works exclusively in healthcare, and overwhelmingly for healthcare providers; experience in the sector is required, as well as an interest in it, or a curiosity about it
  • Significant experience using common analytic solutions platforms and software, including Snowflake, SQL, Python, Tableau and other BI Tools (such as Looker, Marketing Cloud Intelligence, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience building tools to analyze marketing efforts across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • Experience providing support for analytic tool users in a cloud or hosted environment, including troubleshooting, user enablement, and tool optimization
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and expertise in designing solutions integrating multiple sources through API connections
  • Deep familiarity with digital marketing data sources, including
    • Web Analytics: Google Analytics 4, Adobe Omniture
    • SEO/SEM Tools: SEMRush, Moz
    • Advertising and media campaign performance data
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working across teams and clients
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Located near an Unlock office (Nashville, Chicago, or Houston)
  • Marketing agency experience preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Health, Dental and Vision benefit packages to fit all types of lifestyles
  • Life, Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance paid 100% by the company
  • FSA / HSA Options
  • 401(K) with a generous company match program
  • Flexible Paid Time Off

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
