SUMMARY
The Business Systems Team is central to Wiz's operational excellence and growth, ensuring the reliability and evolution of key business systems that support critical functions across the organization. Composed of technical administrators, developers, and analysts, the team focuses on maintaining and optimizing these business systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Combining strategic oversight with tactical execution, the Business Systems Team directly contributes to the success of Wiz's core business objectives as the company scales.
As the Lead Integrations Engineer, you will be the primary owner of Wiz's enterprise integration platform, Workato. Your responsibilities will encompass the ownership, maintenance, governance, development, and support of all enterprise integrations, ensuring seamless and secure data flow and connectivity between critical business systems. In this role, you will be accountable for the development of efficient integrations within the Business Systems ecosystem, with a strong focus on security best practices, scalability, and ROI. This will include hands-on development and providing oversight and enablement to cross-functional technical teams, while also serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on integration architecture for all new integration use cases across business systems tooling.
The ideal Lead Integrations Engineer will possess a proactive and inquisitive approach to solving business needs via automation and integration. They will also bring experience as a hands-on engineer with demonstrable expertise in integration platforms, APIs, and secure data architecture. A strong customer-centric mindset and experience in supporting end-users are essential, combined with a solid understanding of the business needs of Finance, Legal, and Go-to-Market teams, a high degree of technical proficiency, and exceptional attention to detail, particularly regarding data security and compliance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Primary Platform Ownership: Serve as the primary owner for Wiz's enterprise integration platform, Workato. Responsible for maintaining a robust security posture, ensuring reliable operation, and optimizing performance are key responsibilities, alongside the evaluation and introduction of new capabilities.
- Integration Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure integrations between various business systems using Workato.
- Integration Governance & Standardization: Establish and enforce integration governance policies, security standards, and best practices to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and performance – with a strong emphasis on reusable architecture patterns
- End-User Support & Training: Provide expert technical support and training to team members across different departments on integration-related issues, ensuring smooth and secure system interoperability.
- Integration SME: Service as primary contact for new systems evaluation and implementations to review and assess both COTS in-product and custom integration paths to assess fit for purpose, scope, security, LOE, and impact to TCO.
- Platform Performance & Monitoring: Build robust monitoring and alerting systems to measure and action performance issues,
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively assess the effectiveness of current integrations and the Workato platform, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and overall system connectivity and security.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 8+ years of experience as an integrations engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on enterprise integration platforms and security.
- 2+ years in a lead or manager role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Workato, including recipe development, connector configuration, platform administration, and secure integration patterns.
- Deep understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP) and secure integration protocols.
- Strong knowledge of secure data architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and data encryption.
- Automation mindset - relentlessly pursues fully automated solutions to manual processes.
- Strong understanding of ITIL or other ITSM methodologies and frameworks, with an emphasis on security operations.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, while maintaining strong security practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across both technical and functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation.
- Experience with CRM and ERP data structures like Salesforce & NetSuite is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AI tools and securely integrating AI into custom automation is a plus.
- Experience with JavaScript and Python is a plus.

Compensation
Starting compensation will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's job-related experience, skills and geographic location. Your Talent Partner can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
This role is eligible to participate in Wiz’s equity plan and may also include incentive compensation.
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is listed below.
